"The Holiday Inn Downtown-Arena is perfectly located for anyone who wants to be close to the Golden 1 Center, which is why I booked this hotel. All in all, I would recommend someone stay here for an event at Golden 1 Center, but that's about it. The staff is great, don't get me wrong, but breakfast and parking both cost $35/day. You can choose not to have breakfast but if you drive you can't really choose to not park your car. My room was clean and the amenities were good, so I could get breakfast items and bring them back to my room however I wish I had a microwave. The tub didn't drain very well (and I'm not sure why the guest before me didn't say anything) so I had to take 2 showers with little drainage, and the water flow/pressure kept changing during the course of each shower which was odd. I did appreciate the daily refreshing of my towels which I have not experienced in any hotel post-COVID so that was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. Next time I visit Sacramento for an event at Golden 1 Center I'll most likely stay at this hotel, and would recommend it to anyone else going to Sacramento for an event at the Golden 1 Center. The staff everywhere within the hotel are warm, friendly, knowledgable, and wonderful."

"The Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento was wonderful! From easy early check-in, to breakfast in the restaurant, to the rooms, to the staff, etc. Everything was great!!!"

"Upon arrival, I saw the front desk staff being rude to a cleaning lady. She was there with her your child and looked like she wanted to go home for the day. The front desk staff, which could’ve been the manager, was trying to get her to clean the lobby, but she said no (it didn’t seem like she knew English well). This went back and forth a few times and he finally gave him and seemed irritated then continued to check me in. We drove through the parking lot could smell weed, and noticed crackheads and prostitutes hanging around their cars and walking about. This hotel is not family friendly at all , but I didn’t know and was there with my infant child, and another family member on vacation. You would also hear people roaming about in the middle of the night. Not only that, we found a decent sized cockroach in our room and it was still alive. It’s was too late to leave and find another hotel for the night, so I ended up having to kill it and inspect the rest of the room. We ended up keeping the lights throughout the night so they wouldn’t come out while we were sleeping. We originally planned to take advantage of the free breakfast, but after finding the cockroach we were disgusted. I booked this hotel due to its affordability and proximity to Old Town Sacramento, but was very disappointed. Front desk was rude, a cockroach was in our room, and crackheads, prostitutes and homeless were roaming everywhere including outside the property. Would not recommend with families."

"I travel a lot and I just cannot recommend this hotel. Check in went fairly smoothly. We were in town for the March Madness tournament. Trying to order room service from the room phone took 4 attempts as the phone was old and didn’t work well. Breakfast at the Grange restaurant had terrible service as they were understaffed and unorganized. Coffee arrived without condiments or a spoon. Food order taken, but food never arrived. Other tables who came in after us got their food and were either eating, ate or finished before we finally gave up and walked out. The Valet at checkout took an extremely long time to bring the car. Many homeless people surrounding the hotel…"

"The hotel was clean and guests and staff very friendly. Only thin that it is a poor location of town and it’s surrounded by run down buildings and riff raff people outside. Not great to walk around"
