My family and I were very comfortable. The VRBO served its purpose while we were vacationing at Cedar Point. The house is about 15 minutes from the park which was very convenient. Also, the host responded quickly and professionally to all of our questions.
Very nice, quaint cottage in Huron. We could see the lake from our location. Cottage had all the essentials that were needed and beds were very comfortable. The 4 of us were there for the week and everyone enjoyed our time away from the stresses of everyday life. We had no tv reception or cable but upon contacting Lisa she had the park manager come down to check it...he could not get it to work either but he brought his roku device down hooked it up and we got everything we needed...I was even able to log in to my YOUTUBE TV account thru the roku like we do at home...we would stay here again in the future!
This place was nice but could use a little deep cleaning. I cleaned the oven while we were there because it had a lot of burnt on build up. The kitchen is not stocked well with plates, cups, bowls, measuring spoon/cups. If you want to cook, come prepared with some of those things. It is close to the boat ramp if you plan to go fishing. I took coffee and filters for a coffee maker and there is a single cup maker instead. If you want coffee, take pods. We had a great time fishing, shopping, and playing games.
The heat was off, the house was freezing. The thermostat had a low battery, had to take batteries out of a remote to get it to work. It was difficult to figure out. A large clump of hair was in the shower. The room with the bunk bed was extremely hot and the bed is loud every time you move. There was one pod for coffee and no cream and sugar. The floors in the bathrooms have soft spots, almost felt they were going to fall through. The house smelled horribly of mothballs which tells me there is a mouse problem. Just overall a place to sleep for the night but not impressed.
Place is way smaller than pictures make it out to be and no way it sleeps nine. Outside is very run down and dirty. Inside was not kept up either. Would not recommend.
From the moment we walked in there was a terrible smell like a dead animal somewhere in the house. Couldn’t find anything so assuming it was under the house. Between two bathrooms there was 2 rolls of toilet paper. The were not enough towels left behind for everyone staying in the house. The floors are all uneven. There are patched holes in the walls. There is barely enough parking for a truck and a small SUV we had to park a car at Walmart 8 miles away. Nothing was as described.luckily we were only there at night after cedar point but the smell was terrible. The beds are hard as a rock everyone woke up with bad aches.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Decent but would not rent again
Upon arrival it was very musty smelling like the air hadn’t been on. We had to crank the air down and buy air fresheners in order to tolerate the smell. The showers were not clean- looked like black mold. The bedding was not clean- hairs were found. There was 3 towels when we checked in saying we had 7 guests staying and had to request towels be brought. They were brought very quickly but we should not have had to request a basic amenity. The place has the ability to host more than what we had but we didn’t even plates for us to use without sharing and kitchen supplies were very limited. When using a vrbo I expect to cook basics meals and have the utensils to do so. The property was not bad and for the price paid we cannot complain but I hope my review can be taken for some constructive feedback and updates made for future guests stay.
