Raystown Lake is a popular waterway in south central Pennsylvania, stretching 29 miles long. The surrounding area is owned in large part by the federal government with several state-owned parks and forests close by. It is a wonderful area to spend a family vacation with popular attractions including caverns, railroading, horse-back riding, lake cruises, boat rentals just to mention a few. For golfers, Huntingdon Country Club offers a public golf course about 4 miles north of us. Volunteers have created the Allegrippis Trail which is popular with biking enthusiasts. There are 3 different trails so that anyone from beginner to expert can enjoy the ride. There’s also a skills park across from the visitor center where you can stop for all sorts of info on the way to Seven Points Marina. Fishing tournaments are frequently held in the area. During your stay, you may be blessed to see a bear swimming across the lake or a bald eagle returning to its nest.

We stayed at the cabin for 4 nights. It was clean when we arrived and matched what was described on the listing. Nice, quiet area with some good outdoor amenities too. We loved it and will most likely be booking again! Linda was incredibly helpful and accommodating.
It was very nice and very quiet in the woods! It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay! It was close to Rays town lake! We would very much stay there again ! Thank you for the opportunity of letting us stay there!
I had an amazing time in your cabin. I was all by myself so it was the perfect size. I will definitely be staying there again for another me-cation soon!
Husband and I booked a trip for our anniversary with our dog and got exactly what we were wanting. A cozy cabin we could bring our dog to celebrate. Host was amazing by allowing an early check in and even let us know on our last night that we could stay a little longer if we pleased. Overall amazing experience and stayDefinitely would recommend b
This is my third time staying at this cabin. We loved it the fisrt second and now third stay. Never ever disappointed. The host Linda is just so awesome so caring she makes sure you have a comfortable stay and answers any questions immediately. Definitely will be booking again in the summer
Everything to love about this cabin. Simple has all the necessities. Perfect beautiful location. You gotta try Mactown pizza about 6 minutes away. Delicious food. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!
The cabin is great!!! The yard is beautiful. It’s not the Hilton but we loved it n will return again. The location is perfect n out of the way but close to whatever you need. If I was here in the winter I would love to spend a weekend there!!! Just the perfect lil cozy cabin…
We have stayed here several times and we will be back. The cabin and property are exactly as stated and we truly enjoy this end of summer stay. The kitchen is stocked to make perfect meals anytime of year. Great place to have downtime with the fire pit, jigsaw puzzles and just to get away. This year we visited the Juniata Brewery and took a train ride at East Broad Top Station. The lake is so close and we really like Aicht Boat launch the best. Thank you so much for having us again!
We stayed at your cottage over a long weekend beginning Friday, 8/9 thru Monday, 8/12 and had a great time. Everything that was noted in the advertisement was just as it was, most notably, the cleanliness. We had rented a home last year that turned out to be filthy so was a little gun shy but the cottage was immaculate. Thank you,
Judy & Karl Achy
Hi - i had not been able to get away in several years, i saw this cabin and grabbed before any thought about being to busy stopped me. Sight unseen, spontaneous, and a huge "home run!" Perfectly peaceful, private. In great working order and very pleasant. We loved it. Thank you.
Very clean, pleasant conversation with owner. Located close to all things we were looking to do,and very quiet area. Had great stay and will be using again.
Rustic vibe, but it had everything I needed. Hot water was quick and plentiful, wifi worked well, etc. The driveway is quite steep and my car is rather underpowered, so I'm glad I had dry weather. The drive to Huntington for supplies and things to do was easy. Lots of hiking available in the area. All in all, a great little getaway!
This was our third year coming here for our summer vacation. We love staying here. It fits our needs, from the fully stocked kitchen to the fire pit. Close to the lake, other attractions, and state parks. The cabin is very clean. Loved the lights around the porch.
