Wonderful week in Thornham

We stayed at Vine cottage in the first week of May with our dog Daisy. Everything was just perfect at the cottage. Well equipped extremely clean and warm. Position wise it’s just perfect for eating out and coastal walks. We would recommend this cottage to everyone.

We had a great stay.

Overall we had a great stay in Vine cottage. The stairs are steep and quite deep but we managed. The large sofa in the lounge needs replacing. It’s very low to the ground and we found it a bit difficult to get out off, and not very comfortable. The bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was large and very well equipped. The entrance to the drive is right off the main road, if you drive in it’s a bit difficult to reverse off the drive if your own your own. Very happy overall withe the cottage.

A few suggestions

Lovely cottage. Just a few suggestions of items we think should be at the cottage: There was no iron & ironing board - we had no ironed clothes with us. No broom to sweep up outside entrance door - tree over entrance has many pigeons etc and there’s a lot of droppings and berries from the tree which you can’t avoid walking through. No trivets/pot stands or table mats in the kitchen to protect wooden table and work tops - the wood was a little sticky after wiping down so may need treatment of some sort. All that said, we’d book to stay again!
