Great location and good value for money!
The MOD is one of about 6 similar establishments build on an old pier. So all rooms are actually above the sea. Which is unique already. The location on the beach, in the very centre of the old town and narrow walking streets is perfect. The rooms are small, but tidy, clean and functional. The aircon is very new and highly effective. Added bonus: Drive your bike onto the pier and park it directly at the room door! Breakfast or a cold beer on the top floor level is awesome: What a great view of the Gulf! Friends who seen our photo suggested it looks like "An Old Paddle Steamer"

Cheap and local hotel. Didn’t have air on or hot water but wasn’t a problem. The workers could be more friendly and happy, and the room could need upgrades, like a New bed etc.

Room by the sea; sleep to sound os the surf!
Mod's appeal is the sound of the surf! Secondly the deck over the water! Third is the location - so near to the fabulous variety of eateries & cuisine so near their place. I stayed on the lower level at 1,000 Baht per night based on my Hotels.com reservation. The room minimal - but OK - smaller space; great shower/toilet; and great flat screen TV with plenty of English options; and there was room to park yr motorbike/motorcycle off street - secure & safe. Downside was a weak WiFiI and a an old worn out mattress. [Note: the second level boasted an appealing deck but rooms were 1500/ Baht/night - but I never viewed one!]

One night stay, not clean at all
I am a very flexible traveller (having stayed in hostels all over the world) but this was one of the worst places I have ever stayed based on the cleanliness of the place. There were red splotches of sauce or something on the walls, the room smelled disgusting and there were bugs all over the place. I appreciate that this is a wooden guesthouse above the sea but it really wasn't the place for me as it doesn't make sense why they can't wipe down the walls before handing it over to the next guest. There was no blanket and the night I stayed it was pouring rain and pretty cold - I ended up sleeping with the towels as a cover. The toilet and sink were leaking all over the bathroom floor and the door was so old the wood was rotting. I would not return to this place. This is a 'stay for one night because it is cheap' situation. With that said, the staff was friendly and the view of the ocean and the sound under your bed every night is really magical. If only they put an emphasis on cleaning the place up it could be really nice and thye could charge more - I paid 580 baht with a promo on Hotels.com

This is a good destination if you don't want any customer service. They are rude and any requests or questions are met with an attitude. Won't go back again, if I go back to Hua Hin, I'll check into the Sukesem house or Hilton next door.

Great location, friendly staff,basic facilities,horrible mattresses!Message to the owner/manager: Buy a bunch of ;Pillow Tops' add an other five years to the life of the mattresses, won't cost a fortune!

Clean but very uncomfortabe.
I opted for a fan room, the room was clean but Very basic bordering on shabby. The linen was old and worn and the matress should have been disposed of years previously. Overall the room was just acceptable but the matress was completely ruined.

ลุงให้เช่าจักรยานยนต์พูดจาไม่มีมารยาทกับลูกค้า ตอนเช่ารถยังพูดจาดีพอจะเอารถคืนชักสีหน้าใส่และใช้ถ้อยคำเหมือนลูกค้ามาเช่ารถฟรี เวลาคืนรถไม่ตรงตามที่ตกลงเก็บรถก่อนเวลาแสดงถึงการขาดระเบียบในการเช่ารถและไม่มีความซื่อสัตย์ต่อลูกค้า กิริยาท่าทางแบบนี้ไม่ควรมาให้บริการลูกค้าค่ะ ขอบคุณค่ะ

Nice position and nice view BUT....the room was dirty, the bathroom worst. The bed was covered of bugs. A cheap accomodation does not mean a dirty accomodation. We booked for two nights, but we run away after one.

Varning!!
Det var ett mycket obehagligt ställe med bla gammal mat och ohyra i kylskåpet efter att det hade städats. Vi påpekade detta och dom kom tillbaka tog bort maten och städade ur kylen men efter en stund var krypen tillbaka. Vi tog våra grejor och fick tag på ett annat hotell men fick inga pengar tillbaka fast vi inte sov där alls. Jag varnar starkt för detta ställe.

เข้าพักที่นี่หลายครั้งพาเพื่อนมาพักสองสามครั้ง... แต่ครั้งนี้บอกตรงๆ ไม่ประทับใจในการบริการครั้งนี้.... เริ่มจากเช็คอิน รีเควสห้องไว้แต่ทางที่พักไม่จัดให้บอกว่าคลื่นลมแรงเลยให้พักด้านในแต่จัดห้องที่รีเควสให้ลูกค้าคนอื่น ภายในห้องพักรอบนี้ไม่มีน้ำดื่มให้ถามทางแม่บ้านบอกว่าน้ำไม่มาส่งให้รอ... รอจนวันเช็คเอาท์ คราวนี้ในห้องไม่มีผ้าเช็ดเท้าหน้าห้องน้ำขอแม่บ้านบอกว่าสักครู่แต่ขณะนั้นแม่บ้านกำลังไลฟ์สดริมทะเลเราก้อรอ... รอจนเช็คเอาท์ และแจ้งขอเลทเช็คเอาท์บ่ายโมง... ทางที่พักไม่แจ้งว่ามีค่าใช้จ่ายเพิ่มน่าจะแจ้งลูกค้าตั้งแต่เช็คอินนะคับ... วันเช็คเอาท์ห้องไม่เต็มแน่นอน สอบถามแล้วแต่พนักงานไม่แจ้งมาบอกตอนเคาะห้องเรียกลูกค้าเช็คเอาท์ตอนเกือบเที่ยง.. อันนี้สมควรปรับปรุง !!! หรือมันเป็นวิธีการเก็บค่าบริการเพิ่มไม่แน่ใจ แต่.... ผมและเพื่อนๆ คงหายจากการใช้บริการที่นี่อีกนานหรืออาจะตลอดไปละคับ... บอกตรงครั้งนี้ไม่ประทับใจ ไม่คุ้มค่ากับเงินที่เสียไปเมื่อเทียบกับที่พักบริเวณใกล้เคียงในราคาพอๆกัน

Varattiin täältä huone kahdeksi yöksi, mutta kyllä yksi yö riitti. Huone todella pieni, n. 9 neliötä ja ahdistava, kun ikkunanäkymä oli käytävälle, ei ulkoilmaan. Henkilökunta oli kyllä ystävällistä, mutta huone ei ollut ihan meille tarkoitettu. Varmaan ihan hyvä reppureissaajalle, joka viettää siellä yhden yön.

海边木屋，整体感觉一般，不过酒店临近海边，位置不错，有个观景台，视野很好，房间还算干净，海边空气比较潮湿，洗漱用品只有两小块肥皂，我们订的房间没有空调，有个风扇，幸好是凉季来的，要不然真的无法入睡了，最郁闷的是没有热水，晚上还是有点小凉，洗头洗澡完全不习惯！只有放了小费阿姨才会帮你认真打扫，要不然就帮你换个毛巾和水，因为华欣很小，所以去火车站和夜市步行就可以

So schlecht hatte ich es nicht erwartet.
Nach zwei Tagen wurde endlich das Zimmer sauber gemacht. Das Zimmermaedchen hatte keine kenntnis von der belegung des Zimmers. Bitte wo soll ich und meine Familie die benutzten nasses Handtuche aufbewaren? Kein Hacken,keine Stange oder so was vorhanden. Beim Haende waschen wurden meine Fuesse nass. Mit Seife und Trinkwasser ausgestatet aber kein Haar oder Duschgel vorhanden.

Værelserne ligger over vandet og der er en hyggelig terrasse ud over vandet man kan sidde på. Men værelserne lugter som om de er fugtige. Det første værelse jeg boede på lugtede så grimt at jeg fik hovedpine. Til gengæld var personalet søde til at finde et andet værelse. Men de virkede også fugtige når man havde været ude et par timer. Det blev dog tåleligt når airconnen kørte.

Agoda havde ikke skrevet noget om at værelset ikke havde noget vindue, så jeg nægtede at bo på det og blev så henvist til et værelse med vindue og fællesbalkon/terasse for 1ooo TB mere for 2 nætter. I overkanten, men hellere det end klaustrofobi. Relavitivt sure og kedeligt personale som ikke rigtig gad deres gæster.
