Hyatt House

Posted 04-May-2016
Cons: First impressions
Location: The location was good and the room was a good value.
The doors to the Hotel look like a prison. Then when you are parking the gate to the parking garage gives the same impression. The room was decent, clean. TV stations were difficult. The pillows were excellent. The bathroom set up was nice. We liked the sink that was in an alcove. Two people could get ready at the same time without being on top of each other or having to be in the bathroom while the other was showering.

Wanted to like this place........

Posted 22-Mar-2016
Pros: Fresh made omelets was a nice feature but didn't understand why they only had a few ingredients on the weekends
Cons: See experience
Location: Great location near the galleria
Hotel looks great and is very modern with most of the amenities you expect in a hotel like this. However, there are some things that kind of drove me crazy....1) You can't turn the shower on without being doused by cold water....who designs something like this? 2) Breakfast area was way too small for the crowds they had over the weekend.....had to take back our stuff to our room. 3) No free power outlets by the desk....had to change a lamp from across the room to get a free power outlet. 4) Could not get ESPN or TBS on the TV during the NCAA Basketball tournament despite supposedly being available.5) Had a maintenance issue that they addressed by writing us a nice note to say they were comping us one free night of parking which was nice but then they still charged us for the parking at checkout. This place just wasn't very buttoned up and all these little negatives just put a damper on what should have been a great experience.

Fabulous room! Clean and spacious with a full kitchen. It was a little noisy at night with doors banging but overall a great experience.

clean and comfortable

Posted 23-Feb-2016
Pros: Rooms had a living area and a small kitchen....extremely nice
Cons: We almost missed the driveway to park everytime we pulled in. Need a sign for parking closer to the street
Location: Close to several places to shop and eat. Great location and not too far to downtown where we needed to be for work.
Very clean and comfortable place to stay. Staff even went out of their way to light the fire pit by the pool for us one evening. Breakfast was higher quality than most hotels. Very pleasant stay.

Breakfast was low end, other than omellettes, tea & coffee. Blackout curtains let in much light above mounted brackets. For a suite, I prefer the bathroom off of living area, versus bedroom. Sleeper sofas always a negative. Wish these suite hotels offered two queen beds vs king for families. No hot tub & pool not heated. Nightly parking at $16/night was a surprise. Ticcorra at front desk was patient & professional. Liked the lobby sitting area and suite offerings of a refrigerator, microwave & stovetop.
