We had a lovely stay at this property in Houston's Midtown neighborhood during the recent college football championship game week. The property is as pictured - an older building but with new kitchen, secure parking (although it was quite safe to walk around the neighborhood at any time), keypad entry so you don't worry about losing your keys, and whatever cleaning and bathroom amenities you'd expect to find (soap, shampoo, hair dryer etc.). The unit is a second story walk-up.
Maria is a lovely host and quickly responded to any questions we had, checking in with us to see if we needed anything, and just a kind person to deal with in general.
The location is a very short walk to a number of restaurants, bars, and cafes, all of which (at least the ones we got to) were quite good. It's also not terribly far, and flat (this is Houston), to the METRO Rail station; and at least during the cooler months, is also a pretty short walk to downtown. We found we only had to drive for going out of town to the Space Center or Galveston - walking took us to pretty much everything else we wanted.
Be advised that you'll need to bring your Fire Stick, Hulu, or the like to watch live TV, or you can sign into the smart TV in the unit. The internet service was fine for streaming and browsing.
It's been 20 years since I was in Houston, and the Midtown area is a great place nowadays to base yourself. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Maria!
