We did enjoy our time here! Very cute “cottage”. And quiet although it was 4th of July weekend. Houghton lake is super close walk to Lakeview Beach and Sullivan Beach is just a quick drive down the road too. Higgins

The house was neat and tidy, with a large yard. Very convenient to stores and restaurants. Downside: large black ants in the kitchen and sheer curtains on all of the windows. No privacy.

This was a great property, easy to find and close to M-55 in Houghton Lake. We had a great shopping experience nearby at Thrift stores and local gift shops. We found MI Centanario for Mexican was awesome and Little Boots for breakfast was great too. It's an easy drive to South Higgins Lake State Park which is where we were visiting friends for the weekend. The beds were comfortable and functioning large fans helped circulate the cool air from only one small air conditioner. Happy the temps were not in the 90s. Myself and friend both use CPAP for sleeping and had to shuffle things around for placement of machines next to the beds, so adding smaller tables next to the beds would be a great addition. We also would love to see nice wall mirrors added to each bedroom. There's only one small bathroom and for a place that sleeps 6 and we only had 2, we missed having more places to get ready. Overall, it was a good place and worked for us over a 3 night stay.

Clean and comfortable

We’re a family of five and this was a perfect stay for us. Comfortable, clean, nothing fancy, just what we needed with no frills. The yard is beautiful and I love that it’s all fenced in. Made me feel very safe that my little ones could play outside with minimal supervision. Would definitely stay here again.
