On the out side it looked ok check in was fine and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The twin room i booked was pretty spartan, lacking in pillows, one per guest, the beds were absolutely atrocious one could feel the springs thru the mattress and the bed creaked something chronic, there was also a very strange nude picture of a women on the wall over the bed which i found distasteful considering it was a family hotel, no airport shuttle, 17 pounds for a five minute cab ride a bit pricey!! overall I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel ##### Michael Stayed 1 night in Jun 2022 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Deborah 18 Oct 2021 #### No communication My hotel is now being used as a Government quarantine hotel & nobody informed me this when I arrived! I am still waiting on a reply from yourselves as to whether i can move my booking to next year or have a refund . I was told by the hotel it was non refundable and to cancel they wanted £72 . Which ifind totally disgusting. Through a major pandemic this hotel trys to rip people off . Bathroom has chips. Not very helpful in restaurant so we went to a different pub to eat and drink. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The bed nice and comfy overall quite good. But wouldn't stay again. There were some aspects that reminded me of Fawlty Towers, the first room key did not work, then they decided that they had given me the wrong room, then for a third time they changed the room - it was a simple booking for a twin, so no sure why that was so complicated. Generally the place felt a bit old an unlovered and could have done with a refresh. Room was clean and comfortable. I checked in around 1230 pm and had to be up at 0630 for my next flight. The walls are paper thin and my neighbour put their tv on at 0300 and i heard every word. Maybe a sign on Tv's asking people to be respectful of the volume would be helpful.
