I should have known better

The property manager was very unhelpful.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
I was happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

With 1 review I know better but the location was convenient since my family was staying at the Hilton. First night the sliding door wouldn’t close completely or lock. Front desk was more understanding than Vrbo or the 3rd party property management or their maintenance man. They wanted to wait til Monday with a gap where rodents or spiders could get in plus it didn’t lock. Hotel offered to rent me a room for $160. Maintenance hung up on me then called back to say I’d be refunded 1 night and they would fix it the next day, Saturday. It was fixed by the time I got back. Still no response regarding my refund. Mildew on the shower head. No caulk around the shower plate and it separates from the wall. Condensation yellow dripping stains under the AC. The room is a little dark so bring a travel vanity if you need light. The location is perfect for Waikiki beach. I used the free parking which was a great convenience. I didn’t get under the sheets cause the top sheet felt old and worn. Vrbo assured me I’d be safe and secured renting this property saying they were a very reputable property management company but in my experience they are unprofessional.
