  • Come stay in this beautiful newly renovated two bedroom cottage that sleeps eight, with 2 comfortable sofa beds. This cottage has striking views of one of the most popular lakes in the region. We here at Violette's take pride in making your stay as comfortable and friendly as possible! There are many things you can do at Green Lake. Right here at Violette's you can bring your boat, go fishing, water skiing, or even bring your wave runner. Canoes and kayaks are also available for rental. You can also go swimming and dive off our dive platform out in the lake. This is a great place to bring your family. If you like to go sightseeing or shopping we are only 40 minutes from Acadia National Park and the beautiful, quaint town of Bar Harbor! Come stay with us and make your family summer vacation a wonderful one.

Relaxing Getaway

My family and I stayed for a week in August, 2019. We found the place to be very clean, the washer and dryer proved to be a big plus! The site was very quiet and relaxing and the kids found plenty to do at the lake. We would definitely rent this property again.

Perfect vacation spot!

We had a wonderful time at Paul’s cottage. The location was convenient to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and Bangor. The lake is lovely and we enjoyed swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and sitting on the dock. We even saw a bald eagle. We would definitely return. The cottage was spacious and clean.

A great place for a family

The house was a good place for a family. The house is about 20 steps from the shared dock. Great to have the washer/dryer with the kids swimming most days. The house had most everything that we needed. It was actually bigger than we expected. The owner was kind enough to check in on us after the first night. He even filled up our inflatables for us. He would respond withing an hour if we had any questions. Great guy! We did purchase a pizza pan and a grilling basket and left it at the house so that others can use in the future. We know not everyone will need/use them but like to add to a place rather than leaving it worse off. Sort of "paying it forward."

Wonderful place to stay in Maine!

Great property! My friends and I enjoyed staying here very much. Paul was a great host - very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The house was very clean and had plenty of room for all of us (two bedrooms and two pull-out couches). Large kitchen with anything you would need for cooking. Right on the lake, with a gorgeous view from the house. Access to kayaks, boat dock and floating dock. Beautiful sitting area with a couple of picnic tables overlooking the water , as well as a fire pit and seating. Would highlight recommend this property for a peaceful lake trip!!

Wonderful accommodations in a perfect setting.

We brought 6 grandchildren to this central location to give them a trip of a lifetime. The cottage and lake provided all of us with comfort and convenience through the 5 day stay. The children looked excitedly forward to the lake for swimming and paddle boating to bring each exciting day to and end. Violette's Landing provided a beautiful and relaxing view of the day, sunrise to sunset. Thanks to Paul for making this vacation even more special with the accommodations! Ideal summer cottage

This was ideal for our family of four. The camp was clean and orderly. The heat pump made it perfect for all types of weather.There were plenty of towels and linens. The kitchen had just about everything you could need (would have been nice to have an ice-maker in the fridge), including left over paper plates and utensils for picnic. The owner was very friendly and accommodating.Even had an outdoor ping pong table with all the necessary paddles, balls. net. Plenty of chairs around the fire pit that overlooked the lake and a bar b q for outdoor cooking and picnic tables. Nice property, pleasant owner made for a very nice vacation!!

Perfect Vacation Rental on Maine Lake

My family and I stayed at Paul's property on Green Lake and it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, waterfront rental in Maine. Paul was great, he accommodated my early check in and responded extremely quickly to all the questions I had. He made sure everything was taken care of for us so all we needed when we got there was food and our suits! The house is very clean and offers plenty of spots to sleep with two bedrooms and two pull out couches. The bathroom is large and the open floor plan was great when we had family over for dinner. With two picnic tables outside as well, there is plenty of room. The fire pit was great too - the kids loved making smores. The dock is huge which was great for hanging out and there was a floating dock not too far out for the kids to swim to. It was an amazing vacation and the perfect location, we can't to return next year!

Beautiful relaxing getaway

We had a wonderful time staying in this lake house. THe house was newly renovated and has all the comforts of home. The lake was pristine and the kids had so much fun swimming, playing on the beach. The owner was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. WE were very relaxed and felt like we were home. I would love to visit again!

Wonderful lake in Maine

We loved our Green Lake vacation. Our teenage girls enjoyed swimming and diving very much. Thankfully, the lake is not overpopulated with clean air and beautiful stars. The house is clean and cozy. It is a right place to relax and we will certainly come back.

Great Memories Start Here!

We were so excited to return to this rental-- and to see it on homeaway.com! Green Lake is our favorite vacation/getaway destination, and this property right on Violette's Landing, is on the best beach on the lake. Swimming is great, we've rented canoes and kayaks, and the beds are some of the best we've experienced away from home. This is a fantastic place to start memories for your family or a small group of friends! The first time we came here (so many years ago), we were 4. Now our children are grown and bring their mates. This newly-refurbished cabin sleeps 6--perfect! And the memories continue amid the gorgeous views, sitting around the campfire (yes, literally), laying out on the beach or dock to enjoy the sun-- or the stars at night-- and enjoying even short respites from our daily, city-lives. The kitchen is well-stocked with just about anything you could need to cook, and the dining table doubles beautifully as a game-night table :) Added bonus for me-- the cabin's heating/cooling system is amazing! Summers can get hot in Maine, and we never had to worry about the indoor temperature! Even coming up for a short weekend stay made such a huge difference to everyone's stress level! There is something magical about Green Lake and this is a terrific, clean, well-maintained cottage! The perfect summer getaway!
