Blueprint Suite at Spofford Lodge

This historical building was originally built and operated as a school in the early 1900's. The Freemasons took ownership of it in the 60's and in late 2022, we purchased it to give it a new lease on life.
Lovingly restored from the ground up, we have taken what we believe are the original school rooms on the second floor and transformed them into 3 luxury studios, catering to guests that want to enjoy where they rest and sleep as much as they are enjoying exploring the mid-coast of Maine.
The freestanding bathtub, a state of the art coffee machine and high quality bed linens and seasonal comforters make this studio a perfect place to unwind after a day hiking in Acadia National Park and to plan your next adventure. Bucksport itself is a sleepy town with unparalleled views of Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Fort Knox. The waterfront is just one block away. Walk the delightful harbor walk with a coffee from the quaint bookshop, or grab a treat at the great local ice-cream parlor.

Bar Harbor adventure

The lodging was very clean, modern and elegantly decorated. The owners renovated this property for five star accommodations. The location is within driving distance to all Downeast amenities.

Coastline Weekend Getaway

This place was beautiful! Very cute, cozy, and modern inside. You can tell there’s a lot of work and love that went into making this a great place to stay. Great location along our drive up/down the coast of Maine! Lisa was quick to respond to questions about our stay. We loved every minute we spent here and would definitely stay there again!

European Flair near Bangor

If you are anywhere near Bangor, Maine, I suggest staying here. Especially if you like the finer things, like to see beautiful decorating and quaint details. The bed was awesome, the laundry was wonderful and the bathroom was like relaxing in a high end resort.... This is a must stay! The host was very communicative and welcoming.

Impressive renovated old school house

This was a very impressive renovated school house. The suite was very spacious with modern amenities that were integrated into the traditional architecture. It was like a luxury suite in a historic building. Cute town that we didn’t get to spend much time in. Close to Bangor where we were going to a show at the Maine Savings Amphitheatre. Hosts were very nice and helpful.

Perfect place to stay between Portland and Acadia

Above and beyond expectation. We booked the blueprint suite as a place to stay between Portland airport and Acadia National Park. Acadia is less than an hour away so completely do able for a day trip. The town of Bucksport is quite adorable and quaint with a nice water front walk. The space couldn’t be more perfect for a couple to relax, the space was designed so well it felt like a destination for our trip rather than a place just to sleep. Many little luxuries throughout the suite made our time there so comfortable. My husband is not easy to impress but he couldn’t stop talking about the flawless renovations and on and on about drywall being perfect…lol. Didn’t need much during our stay but communication was always quick and helpful. This place is a gem off the beaten path.
