  • Dramatic Oceanfront Cottage with Stunning Views of Acadia National Park!

    2 Bedroom, 2 Full Baths sleeps 4 - maximum 6 (new queen sofa bed or hi-rise inflatable air mattress for overflow guests)

    Shift into idle in this lovely cottage by the sea. Sleep to the rhythmic sounds of gentle waves lapping on your shore. Prolific wildlife abounds; eagles, loon, osprey and an occasional seal. Sunrises here are some of the most magnificent on planet earth! Her reflection off the sea might even dance across your ceilings if you are an early enough riser and have a desire to connect with the beauty that surrounds you here.

    The ocean and all her treasures are right at your footstep with a stunning porch that hangs over the sea and access to some of the finest lobster Maine has to offer just a few doors down at a quint New England, locally-owned, lobster shack. Exceptional panoramic, 180-degree views of Acadia National Park. Conveniently located only 15 minutes from two quintessential New England villages; Blue Hill and Ellsworth for restaurants and shopping. Endless outdoor adventures are to be found in this part of Downeast Maine. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are a 50 minute drive. Nearby hiking, boating, horse-back riding, bike riding, mountain climbing, painting, whale watching, fishing, sailing, kayak rentals and more are all available.

    FYI if you are coming with small children; this property is literally right on the ocean. Porch overhangs the water and stairs down to the sea, neither are child proofed. Please take care. That said, the owner's children enjoyed the home since they were wee. Epic Atlantic, typically calm waters for little ones. Also note no play yard. 

    This is a non-smoking, no pet vacation rental property.

This is a peaceful place to stay while near all the chaos of Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. The house is wonderful with great views of the bay through the windows of this place. It was a pleasure waking up to the bright sunshine of a new day here. We loved everything about this home!

This was an excellent base for going into Acadia National Park every day. The house was on the water, which made it relaxing. Was not close to town, but that made it quiet and private. House had everything we needed.

This is a beautiful home with beautiful views! The beds were very comfortable and is equipped with everything you would need and more. We enjoyed the deck with the gas fire pit. Cheri was very responsive in answering questions. The location was convenient and we loved Blue Hill Blaze. Perry’s was not open for the season yet.

It was very convenient and comfortable. Our only concern was the size of the double bed in the main bedroom and suggest replacing it with a queen sized bed and moving out the dresser in that room. Overall, we had an excellent stay.

We enjoyed the waterfront view, wildlife and comings and goings of the lobster boats. It was so convenient to walk down the street to Perry's for dining on the wharf or take-out lobster and chowder. The location was perfect to explore the sites in all directions. The house is setup nicely for two couples to share.

Views from the back windows were amazing. Kitchen was very well equipped . Restaurants were more accessible in Blue Hill which is about a 20 minute drive. Stores and restaurants in Ellsworth were good but frequently there was a lot of traffic and roadwork to get to Ellsworth.

Wonderful location

The house was clean and well appointed. We so enjoyed the windows overlooking the water and watching the tide coming and going. It was close to attractions but very quiet and off the beaten path.

Relaxing, awesome and beautiful views!

Glad we chose this place to stay for our vacation. The views were wonderful, right on penisula with water right outside our door. Lots of windows so you could enjoy the beauty surrounding you. If we ever visit Maine again this is where we would hope to be.

We had two couples. Each of us had had ample space. House was spacious. We were truly right on the ocean. Loved the full ocean side windows. We could hear the waves at high tide.

Great!

Beautiful, clean, spacious and well stocked. The drive to Acadia was scenic with convenient stops along the way (fuel, food etc.). We had a great trip and really enjoyed the vibe and views at this house!
