The dining room table was beautiful and all 11 of us enjoyed breakfast and dinners there. The high chair and pack n play was a bonus, especially since we flew and were limited on space. The extra beach chairs and umbrella really came in handy and the pool (whole back yard) was awesome. Some things could have used some attention (shower curtains and the air vents in particular) but overall would love to stay here again."

"Great little place on the beachfront! It has lots of charm and character. It's one of the older houses in Holden, which we preferred. If you're not expecting luxury finishes/fixtures, you can score a great deal on this property. It's obvious from the listing, that you don't have an ocean view, because it's not built on stilts (so book elsewhere if that's going to affect your trip). You can clearly hear the ocean, and we could see slivers of it over the dunes, just standing on the back patio. It is a small place, which we loved, so we didn't have to rent a 4 bedroom place for just the two of us. We also loved that we could bring our dog along without outrageous pet fees added on. My only unmet (and very minor) expectation, was that we couldn't use the gate to the beach, or the back patio stairs. Both are grown over with vegetation that will scratch you in the face and catch your clothing. We could easily step over the fence to get around this, but it seems an easy fix to just cut some of the branches away. Otherwise, the beach access was super close and convenient, and besides the occassional car doors or people talking, it was relatively quiet at this public access point. We did see occassional police monitoring the area, even at night. This East end of Holden Beach is so much easier to get in and out of than the West end. AC was nice and cool inside, and the outdoor shower was so nice to rinse off all the beach sand! We hope to return soon!"

"We had an amazing time at Ocean Daze! My group consisted of 10 kids between the ages of 2mo’s old to 14years old and 6 parents and a set of grand parents (total of 18)). The house provided everything we were looking for, it was very clean, the rooms were a very nice size (on the larger side compared to past rentals). The AC worked amazing and kept every room comfortable. Each room had a very large TV, the adults didn’t end up using them but the kids connected switches and games. The internet was reliable and the views were amazing. The host, Dave, was very easy to reach when we had questions and quick to respond! The beach is really close (maybe 50m out the back door) and super easy for kids to go back and forth between as needed. Really a great place for families with kids (we loved the two rooms with bunk beds - enough for 3 girls and a room for 4 boys). I would note are the following- there are two decks (upper level and lower level) that face the ocean. There is not a lot of space on either (enough for 4 rocking chairs on the upper deck and two on the lower deck …we have been used to having a “hangout” area in our previous rentals and that’s not really an option (if you wanted to eat outside etc.) this isn’t a surprise, everything is captured in the listing photos, but we found we missed this aspect. Overall the cleanliness, size of rooms and living space, combined with super easy access to the beach make this an amazing house that we hope to return to next year! Thx!"
