Situated amongst some of the nicest cafes and retaurants in Battery Point and only a short stroll away from Hobart's best known restaurants and unique local art and craft galleries the location will be sure to please. Only minutes away is the famous Salamanca Market held every Saturday where you can purchase some of Tasmanias finest produce or stroll to the waterfront to catch the ferry to MONA! Families will also enjoy the park with swing right at our front door! The property has been elegantly furnished throughout with Tasmanian timbers and will be sure to impress. Each bedroom has a queen size bed so suitable for 3 couples, 3 singles or a family. There is off street parking, unique in this area, plus a private and sunny courtyard where you can enjoy a relaxing drink after a hard day of sightseeing! The well equipped kitchen and the bathroom, with separate toilet, have both been completely renovated and come with stylish appliances. The cottage has electric heating throughout so you will be sure to keep warm during the winter months and the bedding and linen are of the highest quality. Arthur Circus is a special location with original architecture; the cottages that make up the circus having been lovingly restored. Hampden Rd Battery Point has Jackman and McRoss cafe and a fabulous family owned and run Italian restaurant, both not to be missed. Battery Point architecture is fabulous, walk around the streets to admire. A self guided 'Bobby's Walk' booklet is free from the post office next to the cafe. Salamanca Place and the harbour is a 10 minute walk. The kitchen was well equipped with everything one needs to cook a meal. We wanted to experience all the restaurants so we didn't cook. Aloft and Peppina restaurants were both excellent. The property is well appointed and very clean. I cannot fault the location, very central and safe location in Battery Point with an easy stroll to Salamanca and dock. There is onsite parking that is squeezy. This was not a problem for us as it was communicated well beforehand and we were able to choose an appropriate hire car.
