![Gateway to the King Dinh Tien Hoang Temple.
We spent a day in Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province, the old capital of Vietnam between the 10th and 11th century. They described this province as the Ha Long Bay in land, and it actually is! The province is surrounded by mountains and hills. While the scenery reminded me of New Zealand, Ninh Binh still has its unique character that is incomparable.

"We (family of four (2 + 2 adult children)) stayed for 2 nights in June. Location: hotel is located away from the main tourist area and so nowhere is walkable. The hotel does have bicycles free to use which we took to cycle through some rice fields to a local village (few km round trip and flat). Rooms: large and clean. Bathrooms the same. We spent a day in Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province, the old capital of Vietnam between the 10th and 11th century. They described this province as the Ha Long Bay in land, and it actually is! The province is surrounded by mountains and hills. While the scenery reminded me of New Zealand, Ninh Binh still has its unique character that is incomparable.
