"The communication and instructions from the owners were excellent. The documents and pictures provided were helpful for not only the property but also for the surrounding areas of interest. Two minor suggestions for improvement include stronger fans for heatwaves (we stayed in late July and the upstairs bedroom got quite toasty-which I am guessing are rare weather events) and instructions in English for the clothes washer. You would think Google translate would be helpful but we still cannot figure what the “impregnation” setting means! All in all it was a wonderful home base for ten family members exploring the beautiful country of Iceland."

"Everything you need in the highlands. Rooms were small, bathrooms limited, but in each room. If you know that upfront and set expectations, this place delivers with an excellent staff big dining/bar areas with plenty of choices and great darkness to enjoy the northern lights. Not a resort hotel. A well run and stocked mountain hut experience."

"Amazing!! 5 minutes from Gullfoss. Catch it at sunrise if possible. Geysir is a short drive. Very comfy updated room. Breakfast buffet was fabulous and included in our Expedia booking. Hot tubs on demand. Cold, tasty Icelandic lagers on tap. Quiet at night. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Whole place was spotless. No stairs. More than we expected. Thank you!"

"We loved this retreat, it was the last leg of our trip and it was neat to be able to stay in a turf house. Everything there was made locally in Iceland you can tell the owners put a lot of thought in it and the private soak tub for each house was lovely. We got to see the northern lights the service was excellent and the house had a full kitchen and dining table to eat."
