The house was spectacular, and the setting was really special. Our boys loved fishing in the private pond each day. House location was extremely convenient, situated between highlands and Cashiers. It was a short drive down a gravel road but it never rained that much so the drive was ok. The trout pond was nice for the kids and the accomadations were top notch! The only inconvienence was that fact that we couldn't use the firewood that was on sight. We went to the grocery store and bought some wood of our own. We didn't use much. If this rental could be any better is would be to let renters use the available firewood. It would make easier and this is a small added feature that would match the awesomess of this house. The view was stunning and the house was well stocked and beautifully decorated. The property manager took great care of us when we ran into issues. (No heat- the gas company was prompt as the freezing weather depleted the tanks sooner than the scheduled refill). The house thankfully had areas that ran on electricity as well so we could stay warm until the issue was resolved. This was promptly taken care of by Alicen.
