"The apartment was charming and the view was beautiful. Debi's hospitality was even better. She provided everything we needed and more with fresh eggs, orange juice, apples and more. I definitely recommend staying at Hummingbird Hill if you want a mountain escape."

"The place was quiet and peaceful. The deck and porch give you beautiful views of the lake through oaks and other trees. We were there in September and just kept the windows open and enjoyed the mountain air. Debra was great communicating quickly with us. The lake and pier were perfect. The only thing people need to realize is that there are a lot of stairs to get to the lake. We are older and had no problems but for some it could be an issue. Once you are by the water kayaks and chairs are supplied we could not of had more fun. The place is located very near a lot of restaurants and shops we ate out every night."

"We were a group of 5 friends, who travel together annually. The home was clean and well equipped. The refrigerator doesn't have an icemaker, so if ice is needed bring some. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The stairs to the lower level are steep and not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues. However, the main living space is on the main floor and is easily accessible. All in all, we had a great time visiting and enjoyed being surrounded by the beauty of nature."

"We can’t say enough nice things. The communication was swift and the house is beautifully situated with a view of horses and the mountains. If you like to cook, the kitchen is wonderfully appointed with any appliance you might like and quality cookware. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it.Our Host shared some amazing flowers from the Garden, such a nice touch!Very close proximity to hiking, dining and much more! We look forward to our next stay!"

"This property is one in a million! We have utilized VRBO properties multiple times over the years, but we have never encountered a place that was as well-thought-out and prepared for guests as this one. We previously owned a B & B and lodge so we can appreciate the tremendous effort that goes into creating and maintaining such a lovely place for people to stay. The only thing I couldn't find that would've been handy was a stove rest for my cooking spoon! That is simply amazing! The kitchen was unusually well provisioned, and we cooked all of our meals here during our stay. The rest of the property, including the fire pit, was ready for us. We didn't need to buy s'more ingredients, either! The owners' guest manual was excellent. We took it in our car every time we went out, it was so useful. We added a document or two, but this amenity was a very practical tool.We felt welcomed and pampered. We did not want to leave so we'll be back!"

"We recently stayed at this North Carolina property and it completely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how clean, neat, and well-maintained the home was. It truly felt like a home away from home.What made the experience even more special was our host, who was incredibly gracious, welcoming, and responsive throughout our stay. Thanks to the wonderful accommodations and the peaceful NC setting, this getaway turned out to be one of the absolute best vacations we have ever had. We cannot wait to come back!"
