About this property
Don't miss this incredible home! Temps now in low 80"s!
THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE CABIN!!! Perched high on a hillside, with endless mountaintop views, you’ll wonder if you’ve climbed a stairway to Heaven or has Heaven come down to meet you. Perhaps the answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind. Located just 10 minutes from town, the lavishly appointed, cedar sided, lodge style home is convenient to shopping, dining, churches, medical facilities and entertainment, but if it’s privacy you seek, you’ll be on your own like a rolling stone. It’s the perfect place to experience cool autumn nights, crisp sunny days and all the splendor of fall colors. You’ll enjoy brisk evenings out on the covered porch, sipping a warm beverage, snuggled up in comfy rockers by the huge outdoor wood-burning fireplace, where you’ll be making precious memories to last a lifetime. It’s hurricane season in the south anyway, so don’t be a sad-eyed lady of the lowlands, come on up and let us give you shelter from the storm. A Family Friendly Floor Plan!: This luxury 7 bedroom, 3 ½ bath home comfortably sleeps up to 16 with a King Sized Master Suite on the main level as well as a smaller bedroom with a full bed and full bath. ***N0TE***Area over Garage, door connects to the loft area, with 3 separate bedrooms and bath. All bedrooms are very spacious with ample closets and a view from every room. Beds are very comfortable. Huge master bath with jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower. Travertine tile. 2 Separate vanities for guests. 2 full baths upstairs with tub and shower & 1/2 bath in great room area. The great room has cathedral ceilings with windows all around to enjoy the view and an inviting seating area centered around a massive stone gas log fireplace, flanked by a 65" flat screen HD/TV. The dining area with antique farm table seats eight and the enviable, fully equipped kitchen is offset by a large stone island which seats another 2 or 3 guests. Upstairs, there’s an open loft area with game table, seating and plenty of games, perfect for rainy day people of all ages. Down the hall is another Queen sized bedroom, full bath and a huge “Bunk room” with two traditional bunk beds and a Queen sized bed as well. This bedroom sleeps up to 6 comfortably. Kick Back & Relax or Get Out & Have Some Fun!: Professionally decorated and embellished throughout with tasteful rustic antiques, folk art, furnishings and memorabilia, you’ll find the home lacking nothing in comfort and convenience. All too soon, however, you’ll have to hit that endless highway and be on the road again, but don’t think twice; it’s alright – we’ll be here for you when you return, so never say goodbye. Just 10 minutes from pristine Lake Chatuge, it's just a short drive to either of 3 local marinas where you can rent boats, canoes, kayaks, Pontoons or jet skis for a day of fun on the water. Families with small children will love the little white sandy beach area with playground, pickleboard courts, boat launch and picnic area. And of course, there's the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival at the fairgrounds, located just minutes from town and your cabin. Check out their website to see which of your favorite performers will be appearing in concert while you're here as well. Places To Go - Things To See & Lots To Do!: Within a relatively short driving distance you'll find all kinds of activities and attractions with something for everyone. There are hiking trails and at least 5 waterfalls that are well worth going out of your way to see. There's Horseback Riding at the new Brasstown Stables, Fishing, White Water Rafting, 'Grubbing for Gems' & Panning for Gold in nearby Dahlonega, and if you have little ones, be sure to visit the Birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Dolls, just outside of Cleveland. Of course you wouldn't want to miss a visit to the Alpine village of Helen, just 25 minutes away, where you can find something for everyone. There are street performers, dancing, fun and activities for the whole family, along with an interesting array of little shops and great restaurants. Go tubing on the river that goes right through the heart of town or take a ride in the tram for a truly unique tour of the village.
Located in Hiawassee, this chalet is in the mountains. This cabin was amazing and perfect for our group of 13. There was plenty of room for everyone and not once did we feel crowded. The owner was great and even reached out during our stay to let us know of a storm shelter nearby as we experienced some rough weather during our stay. I would highly recommend this property.
The location was peaceful and beautiful. This was a great place for the girls to getaway relax and have fun. The owner had good communication and very helpful when it came to changing our reservations due to weather issues.
The serenity and beauty of this location was perfect! Plenty of room and a large kitchen. Everyone said they wanted to stay here again next year.

Memorial weekend
Loved the view. Found furnishing dated with some of the chairs having arms that were loose. Location to town and lake were great. Loved the large covered porch.
The property was very nice, just as advertised. The house was exceptionally clean and the views were gorgeous. My friends and I were on a golf outing and it was fun for everyone.
We had an amazing time, the property is secluded and there aren’t neighbors which was great for night time drinks around the fire and belly laughs. The yard was cute and had a little rose garden. The house is very spacious so the kids could play games in the loft and the adults enjoy chatting and games down stairs. Will absolutely be staying again.
This cabin was absolutely perfect. Spacious yet cozy with plenty of open common space and lots of rooms for private space. We traveled with 10 adults, 5 kids, and 1 dog and had plenty of room. The cabin was in a secluded location but still close to amenities, sites, and entertainment. The views from the massive porch were breathtaking. We had such a wonderful and relaxing time.
The property sits up above the valley with a beautiful view. Our first 2 days the weather was a little wet but the morning view of the low clouds across the valley was stunning. The deck wraps around from the side to the back and has both a great place for reading in a rocking chair of fellowshipping around the fireplace.
We had a lovely time and the view was incredible! The house was lovely and lots of room for 5 women to move about!! We had an issue, but owner helped us out so it was fine. The deck was our favorite spot to just sit and lookout at the mountains.
Gorgeous fuse from this cabin. Steep driveways but if you can get over that it's worth it. Sitting out on the porch and the outside fireplace gathered with family was an excellent getaway.
This property was just as advertised. We had 16 guys who came from various parts of the US to play golf in the mountains. 10 stayed at this house and six at another. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us. The views from this house are spectacular. All in all we had a great time the house was very comfortable and we would stay there again.
This property was amazing. Lots of space, well furnished, nicely decorated. Loved the outdoor fireplace and deck.
Only complaint is that Owner sent a rental agreement with special terms and conditions 5 days before arrival. Should have received this at initial rental or at least before the free cancellation date so there was an option to decline.
This is a truly beautiful cabin and a fantastic place for a large family gathering. The craftsmanship is exceptional, with gorgeous architecture, beautiful antique furnishings, luxury copper accents, incredible views, and amazing porches. The outdoor spaces and amenities were excellent, and the price was very reasonable for a home this size. We made lifelong memories here. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. We followed the instructions not to set the thermostats too low, only adjusting them a couple of degrees, but the system wasn’t responding. The home has two thermostats and two compressors, and it appeared only one side was working. At one point it reached 86 inside. Two bedrooms became unusable due to the heat, and one person ended up sleeping outside on an air mattress.Future guests should also know about the driveway. Other reviews mention it, but I think the host should be much more proactive about how steep it really is. One of our vehicles couldn’t make it up, and we had to shuttle that family and all of their luggage. I would strongly recommend AWD or 4WD.If the AC had worked properly and we were more informed about the driveway, this would have been a 5-star stay. I hope they repair the AC because otherwise this is an incredible property!
Our little family of 11 gathered for some much needed down time. The home was welcoming and room for us all! We love cooking so many meals were enjoyed. Nights on the porch were awesome. Helene the Hurricaine tried to dampen our spirits. However not a problem to be had. Thank you for such a wonderful space to enjoy family time!
I love everything about this place the view was breathtaking the cabin felt so homey, the host were attentive so i received a response everytime i wrote her. I do wish there was curtains in the master bedroom so i couldve slept in but waking up to that view was so worth it i would definitely come back!! Its a must on. Your bucket list
Wonderful space to relax and spend time with friends! We had most of what we needed to cook our meals in the expansive kitchen! Three of us worked comfortably to prepare our big meal.
Comfy beds, good water pressure, incredible view! Our host was very responsive and helpful with any concerns or questions we had.
The only suggestion for improvement I have is to secure the rug corners better. Several people tripped up on them in different rooms because the corners flip over very easily. Thank you for a great stay!
This property is amazing! We are a group of six couples who love to travel together so this house was perfect for us and there was plenty of room for everyone!! The pictures do it no justice! This home is beautiful and the view from the massive porch was absolutely breathtaking!! We spent every night around the fireplace, laughing talking and having a great time! The kitchen was stocked so well with EVERYTHING you will need to cook for a group! This home is perfect for large families or groups! The owner was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect couples trip! The owner left no detail out when trying to create a wonderful cabin experience!

Nice but very little phone service and WiFi
We enjoyed our stay - the house was very roomy and had great Mountain views. Some of the family was upset because the WiFi was extremely spotty as was the phone service.
My other complaint about VRBO is that the fees are not up front - if you’re going to almost double the amount of the property rental with added fees, at least let the renter know what the cost is up front.
House was very nice and accommodated all 15 of us well. This was our family Christmas gathering and it was very nice that the house was still decorated for Christmas. Lots of dishes and appliances needed were provided. WiFi is a little spotty which made it difficult to get the code to check in and get the code to the house. Driveway is very steep. Price advertised is not for the number of people listing advertises it will sleep. Overall a very nice stay.
Our family of 6 adults and 5 children (14, 12, 10, 9, 4) loved the space and the beauty of the surroundings. The huge wrap around porch with plenty of seating for enjoying the view across the valley and the wood-burning fireplace on the porch was great for reading and cooking s'mores. The inside kitchen was roomy and well equipped to permit cooking for 11 with a huge pantry area for storage of coolers and boxes -- we nicknamed it the Narnia cupboard. Internet access was superb and allowed everyone to do things on their devices without issue. Within 30 minutes of multiple great attractions and 10 minutes to a full size supermarket. The host was very responsive and answered all question.
