The kids loved fishing in the river and playing in the field. The cabin had everything we needed, the only downside was no dishwasher so bring plenty of paper goods so you don’t have to spend your vacation washing dishes! When I was searching for a place to take my wife on a much needed retreat, I was looking more in the Helen area.. Somehow I found this property and it was perfect. In fact we chose to spend more time around the Hiawassee area than we did at Helen. My wife even said, we have this beautiful cabin that we need to spend ore time at. Whether you choose to sit on the back porch and take in the gorgeous mountain veiws or take a short walk down to the stream behind the property and sit in the adirondack chairs by the stream and enjoy the breeze, you can't go wrong. Easy access to local sites like Helen and Brasstown bald. There are a few small reasons it’s not 5/5 - is the beds need to be changed, the queen upstairs beds all three have slopes. The floors upstairs creak so badly it wakes the people up on the ground floor. The water pressure in the upstairs shower was very low, hard to rinse shampoo. One thing about the directions, it’s very hard to find at night. There are no address numbers at the road. You can’t see the first three cabins in the subdivision at night, it’s completely black. No streetlights. So describing it as the 8th cabin is futile if you can’t count the cabin number. Simple reflective paint at the drive way near the road with the house number would remedy. But folks seriously, these are very minor things. We had elderly folks with us on the ground floor, and they enjoyed walks at the river. Short drive to shopping and to Helen. The place was well stocked, everything you need. Easy access to town and the river. We loved it. Thank you. ##### Anita G.
