"On the one hand, this place needs a makeover. It's dated and needs some sprucing up. However, the place is super comfortable, the English breakfast is amazing, and the location is awesome. The staff was amazing, they helped us through a rough car rental issue. Great place to stay for one or two nights and get to know York."

"I usually stay in cheap hotels but this one was rather elegant, and even had a 13-meter pool. It’s right next door to the train station and fairly close to the Minster. Definitely recommend!"

"The Nags head was ideal for me and my son dad & lad wkend room was clean with easy access into town weather was nice so 20 minute walk into town we had our dinner at the Nags head on the first night and it was lovely so overall does the job for a reasonable price"

"Meticulously clean, comfy bed, handy location. Staff were great, particularly Nat who was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was really nice and varied. Will stay again."
