We enjoyed the property. One small issue with the coffee pot that was remedied immediately. Close to shops and food. We did not have a great experience at Sugar and Spice but other town experiences were great. Love Tin Mill for dinner. Would stay again with this thoughtful hostess!
I was planning a midweek, working vacation, and The White House was just exactly what I needed. Incredibly clean, incredibly comfortable, in a wonderful setting. So restful. I had some great walks around historic, hilly Hermann. Wonderful, prompt communication from my host for the very few questions that popped up. She is clearly focused on making sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. Be prepared for the fact that many (but not all) of the restaurants are not open during the week. Not just "closed Mondays," but "closed Monday through Wednesday (or even Thursday)." If going to a certain restaurant on a certain day is important to you, I suggest you call ahead, because even online hours of operation are sometimes not correct. Fortunately, the kitchen at The White House is stocked with all you will need for preparing your own meals, and the two nearby grocery stores should keep you more than satisfied.I am already thinking of going back next Fall.
