Simply stunning!!! Perfect getaway for those who seek a peaceful, charming and cozying stay. The cabin is a charm. Has everything a guest could possibly need and want. Fully equipped with everything and more! We truly enjoyed our stay!!
Very private cabin with nice views. Well maintained and clean. Wifi instructions need to be updated on main listing - still has instructions to connect to hotspot via modem that had my husband have a meltdown. We finally read all the move-in instructions and found the pwd and connected to Starlink - which was super fast! Thx for a wonderful stay.
Great house with an amazing view of chimney rock! It is perched high enough to have unobstructed views of the entire chimney rock area. Loved sitting on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee looking out onto the mountains. The house, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and had all the space and amenities our family needed. Internet hot spot worked well for streaming services at night. Kitchen and grill were great for meal prep. Quick trips to hiking, chimney rock state park, chimney rock downtown, and lake lure. Hendersonville and Asheville/Biltmore also easy (30-45 min) trips. Biggest note is the house is located at the top of a long unpaved road that had some bumpy parts and one of our cars spun a bit in the gravel at parts. Once we had gone up and down once or twice we knew where to take it slower to minimize the bumps but otherwise felt safe coming and going. We decided to organize our days to only leave the house once a day to minimize the number of times up and down the driveway. AWD/4WD certainly helpful as well.

The view from the front yard is outstanding. The drive from the road to the cabin was handled well with the truck in 4WD, although I would recommend initially making it to the cabin in the daylight hours. When we arrived at the cabin, the cleaning people had not cleaned from the guest before (ie: laundry undone, trash, no sheets on the bed (and no extra sheets available). After a 9-hour drive, this is not something that was inviting and welcoming. We contacted the property manager (who was apologetic and offered a refund of one night of which a full night was not refunded), and they advised someone would be there in the morning, this left us doing laundry of previous guests and to clean up... 3 vacuum canisters and 3 hours later...we settled in. The next morning, we were up early, so the cleaning people could arrive at 8:30am. We vacuumed again throughout our stay and could not get rid of the copious amounts of dirt. The bedroom is carpeted and really needs to have hard flooring if the property is going to remain pet friendly. We have pets and understand dander, but this was a bit off the chain. My husband’s allergies inside the home were so bad that we wound up leaving early. The house and furnishings (dated bed and flat pillows) are older and need an update. But the amount of allergens in the home was the kicker. The location was great, and we enjoyed the towns, even though it is still in repair from Helene. The property has great potential but needs some TLC.
Great stay overall. The property was very clean, comfortable, and pet-friendly, which made traveling with my dogs much easier. The kitchen had everything needed for a short stay, and communication with the host was smooth and responsive. It was also very convenient to Chimney Rock, and we enjoyed spending the day at nearby Lake Lure. Would definitely stay again.
Everything was very pleasant and enjoyable. It was a peaceful stay and the property and view were excellent. Maybe the only thing I would change in the directions is about looking for the blacktop driveway to the house as it is almost not asphalt anymore and only recognized it as such when I was leaving lol. It’s better to go to the cell tower
We were home for a funeral and our places are still uninhabitable from Helene. This was perfect. It's a beautiful place and very well maintained. The price was reasonable and the whole process was easy. It made everything so much easier for us.
The house itself was awesome. It appeared to be newly renovated. It had a well-stocked kitchen, and the cabin was welcoming and roomy. I had to contact the host, and they responded quickly. We would consider returning.Footnote: The road to the location, once we left the main road, was somewhat treacherous due to a recent rainstorm. Having a four-wheel drive vehicle would have been a plus.
The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable! My husband and I brought my parents and their 2 dogs to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. We enjoyed the views, the grill and the fire pit! We had a little trouble finding the house in the dark when we first arrived but our Host answered our call and immediately helped us find our way.
The view was stunning and we loved the fire pit! We also loved how close it was to chimney rock. Our only problem was the outdoor cameras were not communicated to us before booking. It was not too big of a deal to us but it made us wonder if we were being watched the whole time or if there were cameras anywhere inside the property. Overall the wifi was great, view was stunning, and we had a nice getaway together.
Had a very nice stay at this cabin. It was clean, beds were comfy, great view. The best thing for us about this cabin was its location bc it was halfway bw Hendersonville and Black Mountain. The drive up to the cabin is a bit treacherous. I would definitely recommend having 4WD and arriving during daylight hours so that you can see as you’re driving up.
A great hideaway tucked on the outskirts of town. Plenty of yard space for kids/ dogs to run around and explore. Quick and easy access to Chimney Rock Village, state park, Lake Lure, and more. Many options for great hiking, adventuring, and even minimal drives to larger Hendersonville, Asheville as desired. A wonderful stay for our family of 6! Highly recommended!
Note: Drive up to house much easier during daylight, as some portions of driveway are somewhat difficult to navigate when unfamiliar. Starter paper products provided, so bring extra a plan a trip to Ingles in Lake Lure (20 min).
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is very nice and the view is too. Lots of things to do in the area. Just make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle. The road into the cabin is gravel and steep in some areas. My truck was probably I little to big for the road to the cabin. I have a Lifted Ford F450 dually and it was tight and a little close to the edge of some pretty high drop offs in the road to the cabin. And the parking area at the cabin is kinda small to turn around in. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. We really enjoyed it and would go back.

Family NC Visit
Our family stayed here for a week, the overall description and listing of the property could be more detailed on the property and home itself. The home was not very clean upon arrival, my wife swept the first morning we were there and filled up dust pans with pet hair and some dirt. The washing machine did not work properly and there were issues with the trash cans. I understand we are in the mountains we have wildlife issues where we live also. The trash was dumped over 3 times despite it having a strapped lid. We picked up the trash ourselves twice, the home should have a locked area for trash cans to prevent this mess. The views from the home are nice, the home itself is older with older beds and furnishings. The road is also very challenging to reach the home, I would recommend 4wd or AWD vehicles. We spun out on the rocks until we put our rental in 4wd going up the road to the home. We have younger kids and the home is right on the edge of the mountain so I would recommend older families stay as the younger kids could be dangerous with the steep drops near the front and back yards. The location is great for Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.
