We love the area, and our stay at The Little Red House was enjoyable. The updated bathroom and kitchen areas were nice. Sitting on the porch was very relaxing!
This property is amazing and very close to all the restaurants. We came up to get a permit and hike Tallulah Gorge and will be coming back to stay here at this cabin. Our dog loved the property as well and there is plenty of room inside the cabin and around the property for your pets. The owner/manager was extremely accommodating and communicates well. Overall 10/10.
Initially, we rented the cabin as it was pleasing to the eye, but when we arrived, it became so much more. We wanted quiet, away from the fireworks of the New Year celebrations and boy did this place deliver the quiet! It’s far enough away from the noise of a metropolis, but close enough to a small town for the ‘just in case’ of needing things at the local grocery store. The cabin itself was absolutely ideal! All wood interior with a spacious kitchen that a family of 4 plus could easily eat comfortably. Quaintly located adjacent to a golf course, the views from the front of the cabin are idyllic and peaceful. In addition to all of the comforts that the cabin allows, it’s a scant 40 minute, scenic drive to Helen, Georgia. I can’t rave about this place enough, but one thing’s for sure: we’re definitely making this trip again.
Little Red House has been one of the best rental vaca houses we have stayed at yet! The host was very responsive and welcoming pre and post trip! The puppy loved it as well!! 5/5 highly recommended stay! Thanks!!
The house was very clean. Communication with the host was great. She was very responsive. The house was close to town (which had cute little shops & great restaurants). Great house for 4 adults or a family.
Property exactly as described. Very clean and host responded to questions promptly. Great place for pets with gates provided. Driveway is a little steep but you are in the mountains so that should be expected. Great view of golf course! We will definitely stay here again.
We felt cozy the minute we walked in the door! It was unusually cold for this time of year and it was snowing outside when we arrived! Our place was clean, warm and comfortable. A welcome sign greeted us, along with some snacks. Our host was attentive and answered us promptly. We ate all our meals in and kitchen had all the basics, including an amazing set of pots and pans! We had no trouble checking in or checking out! Overall a pleasant stay.
We were extremely happy with the little red house, it provided everything we needed for our stay, beautiful area, lots to do. We hiked during the day and spent the evening hours on the lovely front porch. We loved it and we plan to come back!

Quiet, comfortable and clean. Pretty view of the golf course.
We loved the house and the area! The winding and steep and narrow roads are a little intimidating at first, but there's not much traffic in the general area, so it doesn't take too long to realize they aren't as bad as they might seem. If your car doesn't have a backup camera, though, don't park at the very top of the house's driveway--the parking spot in front of and parallel to the house is much easier to get out of.
Stayed all week at The Little Red House in Clayton, GA. Had a ball! The house was PERFECT! The home was immaculate, bright, roomy and well appointed with everything one would need. Location-wise easy to get to, overlooking golf course, peaceful, very close to town/shopping. We opted to prepare our own meals as opposed to eating out. The kitchen was very well supplied! The beds were very comfortable. Favorite spot was on the porch in the evenings after whitewater rafting, hiking Tallulah Gorge and Blackrock State Parks. I would DEFINITELY recommend this home to anyone looking to relax and will definitely return! The owner Andrea Miller was very attentive even though we needed nothing!! Thanks again!!
Totally recommend! The house was great with a cute little kitchen with nice appliances, comfortable seating in the den and options for dealing with the heat—central air and a fan in the living area, and plenty of light. We backed up the drive as long as there was enough light but you can also park to the front.
You are minutes from the Tiger drive in on Old 441, the Walmart, and on the South side of Clayton closer to the dog park (at the Rabun County recreational area) past the high school to the south—this was closer for us than where we stayed before. There are to entrances the first one with the gate is the one you want, but you can turn left from the other—-follow the curve around (a pond is on the right) until you see a parking lot to the left that has a bark park parking sign. You have to walk across a field to get there.
When eating out, we recommend the Rusty Bike in Town for breakfast or lunch really and had dinner this time at the Valley Cafe on the way to Dillard to the north which was really good, and has amazing cakes. It is in an old bank and has a wine cellar on display in the bank vault. The place we were going —the Country Cupboard—was closed for dinner.
The Little Red House is great. It was the perfect house for our trip. Great location to fan out and do things. Great for the pups. Definitely recommend.
