Trip to Lake Burton

We had a wonderful time is the impeccable clean and fully appointed house. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive, and we had a very relaxing time on the boat and out by the giant fire pit. Thank you for a wonderful getaway for the family!

Exceptional property on Lake Burton!!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this property - amazing time! The house was extremely comfortable with a lot of space for our family and friends. The main room and kitchen are a highlight - lots of space for large dinners. We cannot wait to return.

Perfect family getaway!

We had a wonderful time at this vacation home. While not directly on Lake Burton we were still able to enjoy the water. We rented a pontoon boat from the owner, went kayaking, fishing and tubing. The home is beautiful and very comfortable. We highly recommend this rental home!

Another great week at Lake Burton

This was our second year visiting this lovely home. Very relaxing with a fully equipped home. When not on the boat, the large yard allowed for lots of frisbee, spike ball, ping pong and sunbathing. Gathering around the fire pit with our teens/young adults provided the perfect end to the day. Host very responsive and a please to work with.

Fantastic retreat

We had such a great time here over Memorial Day weekend. The house is very nice. The owners do a great job of anticipating their guests' needs by stocking with basics including wood for the fire pit and sticks for marshmallows/smores! The location is very peaceful and tucked away down Dick's Creek w/ the ability to take the boat out to the big water. Perfect for paddle boarding, canoes, etc.

Nice house

Nice house with flat, huge backyard with access to Lake Burton via canal/creek. Very well furnished with toys, games, etc. Host was very responsive. Creek a little tricky/slow to navigate but worth it for lake access.

lake life at its best

the pictures don't do the house justice. nice finishes, huge kitchen, big bedrooms and a large, comfy living room with vaulted ceilings. and then there's the outside with plenty of seating. having the boat access made our trip so much easier. truly was lake life at its best!

Our family had the best time!! The lake house was even better in person than in the pictures!

The whole process of renting the property was seamless. Lee was so responsive and accommodating. He truly wants your experience to be special. Our family absolutely loved the house, the beautiful backyard and the area! The area is gorgeous with amazing hikes. We loved the cute town of Clayton. We can’t wait to come back for some fishing on the lake! We highly recommend the Wagner’s beautiful home for a great vacation!

Our family had a wonderful week at lake burton in this beautiful home. Love the yard. Kitchen lacks supplies for cooking- needs some more pots/pans/baking dishes etc. Upstairs bedroom great for kids.

Lake Burton paradise!

This is an amazing property on a little river that connects to Lake Burton. It is a perfect family cabin getaway. Lots of yard to play games on and they have a boat you can rent. The owner is extremely nice and makes sure you have everything you need to make your getaway special. Couple weeks of quick tips, bring your fishing pole as there is some good fishing in the area also cell Svc is a little spotty so plan ahead for things.

Enjoyable stay with two families

The home is lovely. The location is not actually on the lake but you can get to the lake with the kayak or if you have a boat. This was not clear to me when we booked. The kitchen was lacking in proper cooking utensils, etc. Overall our stay was enjoyable and comfortable.

Great Getaway, Fantastic host

We loved our stay! The home is beautifully appointed and has plenty of room and everything you need for a large family or friends gathering. The yard is incredible - worth booking for the yard alone! Adults loved sitting in the boat house watching the kids play on the lawn. The house is managed by the owners which makes a huge difference - they were responsive to every question, followed up immediately, and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. We rented the boat and loved spending time on the water. Our only negative was that we were just here for a long weekend. We wish we had more time. Book this - you will love it!

Kind and Accessible Renters/Loved the Boat!

Overall, the rental was very well-appointed. Our three kids (ages 8, 13, and 17) stayed in the bunk room and really enjoyed the games and ability to spread out. The fire pit and ping pong table outside were used and enjoyed. I needed to contact the hosts a couple of times during our stay and they were very responsive and agreeable each time. We rented the boat, which was everyone's favorite part of our stay. Having the boat really elevated our time and allowed us to enjoy all that Lake Burton has to offer. There were seven of us (three generations) on this trip, and we all enjoyed ourselves! We had plenty of room to spread out and just the right amount of beds/bathrooms. The two minor drawbacks I would mention are 1) the house itself is tucked away down what I would describe as more of a canal, rather than facing the main body or cove in the lake. It was great for fishing and very peaceful/quiet, but it didn't look very inviting for swimming. :) That being said, because we rented the boat, that was not an issue or setback for us. The second minor drawback is that there did seem to be what looked like cat or dog hair on some of the main floor upholstery. It may have been from a previous guest, but I generally look for "no pet" properties due to minor allergies in our family. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would rent this house again.

Relaxing week at Lake Burton

Thank you to the Wagner family for opening your wonderful home to us for the July 4th week. Lexi was very responsive to several questions on the day of check-in, and Lee was gracious to respond to our questions on July 4th about their pontoon boat that we rented. My husband, two teenage sons, and my parents had a terrific time at Lake Burton Oasis. We cooked all but two meals at the house and found the kitchen well stocked for our needs. We enjoyed the boat house while relaxing on the bed swing or working puzzles on the picnic table. The grill and outdoor dining area were perfect for our use. The patio seating area was comfortable. The water and recreation toys were plentiful... my boys especially loved the outdoor ping pong table in the covered patio! We finished week with smores around the firepit. To note - unlike many LB houses that we have rented, the road leading to the house is fairly flat and not difficult to traverse. The parking area easily accommodates 3 cars... a 4th might be a tight squeeze. My parents were happy to see that the bedroom with two full beds and an adjoining bath is on the main level and doesn't require stairs to access. The patio and level backyard are accessed through that bedroom, as well as the hallway and great room. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and each have an adjoining bath. Overall it was a terrific time for our family!
