The Principal Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Everything about the property seemed new, clean and well maintained. My room was spacious, with lots of light and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean with ample counter space and a large tiled walk-in shower. There was plenty of storage for my belongings, as well as a large functional desk for remote work. I had everything I needed within walking distance. The hotel and town seemed very quiet and safe, with walking trails within a block. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I enjoyed my stay and plan to stay again in the future!"

"The house was a pool house off the main house which was a little odd to me but we had the whole pool house so it was technically correct. The parking was a little complicated as if you have more than one car, you have to pull up to the very bumper of the first car so the owner can get out of the garage. But the pool house was very clean and the owner was polite, so overall, I was happy with the property.I did miss the pet limits and the host was very understanding about my mistake which was extremely appreciated."

"This property is a good value for the money and if all I wanted was a bed and bath, I would give it a 9 out of 10. However, it is a two-bedroom apartment and there is not a chair anywhere to sit in. Let me start with the positive points. The king size bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable, and the main bathroom is very well equipped and has a nice shower. The toilet paper fell off the wall and just needs a simple repair. The main problem I have with this apartment is that there is not a chair to sit in. No chairs in the bedroom and no chairs in the living room. There is a futon in the living room. When we arrived, it was reclined to almost flat and the mattress was sticking out almost a foot in front of the futon. I had to have two pillows behind my back to sit on it. My wife and I adjusted it to a sitting position and pulled the mattress up. It wanted to keep sliding back down so finally while pulling it up, we pushed it in in the middle so that it would stay in the correct position.I believe that the main problem is no one cleaned or checked out this unit before our arrival. The floors were dirty which turned my wife's feet black. My wife had to go into the basement to find our bath towels. The closets are not organized. No toaster, so I couldn't have toast for breakfast. If there was at least one chair to sit in and a toaster in the kitchen, I would stay here again as it was only 8 minutes from my granddaughter's house."
