"The room we had the shower rod was broken off the wall hanging down. So it was hard to get a shower without the water going everywhere. No soap . Other then that it was great. And I never had any contact with the host. That's why it was a low rating."

"Excellent house with great hosts. Very clean and the location is perfect for the ferry to Ocracoke as well as the underrated Graveyard of the Atlantic museum. The hosts are true to their word as to what is provided so you may need to buy extra toilet paper while you are there if you are staying for more than a few days. Thankfully there's a couple of very nice grocery stores nearby. The welcome kit contains all that you need though. Fridge is totally empty so you should bring some condiments, etc. Also, the fridge is awesome because there's a filter for cold water right on the door. you have to access it by looking for the latch on the underside of the OUTSIDE of the left door. This is a very cool feature as the water tastes great from it. The beds are nice and everything is super clean. We totally enjoyed our stay and you will too. Also, we didn't have dogs but you should know that there is no pet smells and it doesn't even seem like dogs are allowed there - it's so clean. We hope to come back! One of the most relaxing parts of the outer banks, imho."

"Location was fantastic! The bad: The cabana was a little worse for the wear than advertised. The room reeked of marijuana upon arrival which was very disappointing since this is a smoke free property. The host responded quickly when notified saying to air out the property and that it should work quick since it is so small. The cold air return filter looked like it hasn't been changed in a very long time. That may help with the smell. It took about 2 days for the smell to fully go away. The stairs and decking had some screws that were not all the way in, causing some foot scrapes. The outside light at the entrance was out. The screen in the bathroom window was torn. The good: Inside the cabana was in good shape. Nice little kitchen with supplies. Bed was comfy. Could hear the waves crashing on the beach with the sliding glass door open. Very close to the beach making it convenient for returning to the property for breaks in the day if needed. "
