Our family loved the house and property. Sunsets from the porch facing south toward Mt. Ascutney, many options to sit outside covered and uncovered, and a comfortable and clean home - not just a house. Well equipped for all our needs. While the location feels like the countryside, it is close to lots of things, including small cities and towns, recreation, and historic sites. Host was also super nice even though we didn’t need or want anything during our stay.
Absolutely beautiful home and property on top of a hill. House also has a pretty fully stocked kitchen and even a bunch of stuff for kids. Perfect for a family!
Spacious house perfect for large groups. It has everything and more you could need. Gorgeous views and the grounds were beautiful! Perfect place for quiet mornings of coffee on the porch watching the sun rise. Fall foliage was spectacular.
More than expected......beautiful well taken care of home.. 5 great bedrooms....Vermont charm plus.....our host was welcoming and warmly greeted us....she instantly responded any questions....beautiful views . Plenty of space to explore
Everything was great with this house. Had plenty of kitchenware and very well organized, provided certain things that everyone needs when they travel. It's also a beautiful and peaceful location. The hosts were also easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to communications. Would recommend this house to everyone.
Very clean and well designed for a group! Lovely indoor and outdoor areas for hanging out. Beautiful views and gardens. Great kitchen. Hosts are lovely and helpful. Easy to reach. Location is rural, but just a few short miles from Woodstock, Quechee, and more. Highly recommended.
This is the perfect house for a family. Plenty of space. Every amenity. Clean and comfortable. We did all of our cooking at the house and the Kitchen was perfect for cooks. Great range, 30" double ovens, all of the cooking gear you need. We would highly recommend this house for a family!
When we arrived, we were stunned at how beautiful the house is and you can tell how much love Briana has put into her home. The listing did not do the location justice.
We had everything we needed and we're so comfortable during our stay. We didn't want to leave.
Our host was communicative and helpful. The house was clean, spacious, and had so many breath taking views. I hope we can return one day.
This house is well located -- under 10 minutes to Simon Pearce! It's a charming ride up a hilly road so the views are lovely from different rooms and several outdoor spaces. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. Quirky placement of light switches! Our host was gracious and friendly. This home worked really well for four couples (with a third-floor bedroom to spare). Thank you, Briana!
We needed a place near Hanover to stay so we could attend a memorial service for my parents. Hill Top Garden was perfect. The house is surrounded by beauty and peace. The view of Mt Ascutney looked like a Vermont postcard. Briana is a thoughtful hostess. The beds were all so comfortable with warm quilts and extra blankets in every room. I only wish I liked to cook, because the kitchen was stocked with so many neat gadgets that I am sure experienced cooks would love. I would have liked to have more time to walk and explore the property, because it offered Vermont beauty with so many places to sit and just enjoy the views. This place was exactly what we needed. Thank you Briana.
We spent a rejuvenating week at Briana's lovely farmhouse near Quechee, Vermont.
The house was inviting, airy, and charming. We spent most mornings drinking the local coffee on the porch, watching the misty recede from the valley and hills that lay before us like a scene from a film.
Our host, Briana made everything easy and convenient to check in. The house had every amenity for a cozy family get away. We could pick fresh blueberries and Jalepeno peppers from the graden, and while it was in a relatively secluded hillside location overlooking a bucolic valley, the house was just minutes from the village of Quechee, with its quaint covered bridge, glassworks factory and falls. The Quechee state park, nature center and spectacular gorge were also just down the road. Nearby, Jake's grocery store had a delightful selection of fine foods, beer, coffee and cheeses.
The house was also just a few further miles to the charming town of Woodstock, VT. where we ate the best burgers at the White Cottage Snack Bar!
We had the perfect, end-of-summer cozy getaway with family, enjoying books, hiking, biking and pleasant evenings around the fire pit.
We definitely hope to go back.
My family of 8 rented this amazing home and property for my son's Dartmouth graduation (over a year in advance). I cannot even put into words the effect this place had on all of us. The photos do not do it justice as the house and acreage is more beautiful than I had anticipated. We arrived in the dark (Briana even had to jump in her car to try to find us!), and when we awoke to daylight and could fully see where we were, it was mesmerizing. The interiors were immaculate, the finishes just right and the wide-plank floors were the prettiest I have ever seen in person. We were more than comfortable, and thoroughly enjoyed the kitchen, dining room, den, and most importantly the front porch! At such a crazy hectic time, I made all the time I could to just sit out there and BE. Such peace and beauty - I'll never forget it. And the doe and her two fawns who crossed the property on a daily basis were icing on the cake. Briana and her family have done an amazing job with the house and property - the various gardens with lots of hosta around the exterior made us all very happy. She was most generous in communicating with us and was so very gracious with our questions (even a broken goblet or two -- so sorry!). We would LOVE to return some day! It was truly the most amazing home we've ever rented over many years!! Do not hesitate to book this property - do it now.
We had another wonderful stay here (our 2nd) and not only are the hosts extremely helpful, but the home is beautiful and the amenities are top notch. Thanks for another great ski vacation!
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway to this beautiful property. The home is spacious and beautiful with a lovely large open kitchen. We love the maple syrup made by the owners.
The driveway is steep but very well maintained. We had no issues with four wheel drive and snow tires.
Overall a perfect getaway. I highly recommend this home. I want to go back in the fall because I’m sure the foliage is stunning to see from the front porch.
Our experience was outstanding in every regard. Accommodations were spacious and beautifully appointed. All essentials (towels etc) were in abundant supply. Our hostess was most pleasant and inquired periodically with us to make sure our needs were being met and also provided information on interesting activities in the area. One cannot leave Hilltop gardens without commenting on the view. The location of the house with its floral gardens sits upon a hillside with a spectacular vista of the Vermont countryside.I would heartily recommend Brianna’s lovely home to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation experience.Cam
I cannot sing the praises of this home and host family enough. The home was as described or, if anything, better than described. The views were remarkable to distant Mt Ascutney, the accommodations extremely warm and comfortable, and the property so lovely we spent more time than expected snow-shoeing in the woods or simply walking on the quiet Vermont country roads just down the long driveway. Our hosts were nearby staying in their sugar house and when we had questions or small issues were there at a moment's notice to help us out. You have to try their delicious maple syrup. Would I recommend this? NO, because we want it to ourselves! Of course, I would recommend it with the highest regard and plan to stay again. Note that Hanover, NH and Woodstock (lovely towns and great shopping) were very close and Killington well under an hour's drive.
