Good location, only 25mins outside Edinburgh city centre. The room was spotless and had all the amenities one could need, an iron, hairdryer, tea and coffee. The bathroom was very nicely done and very clean. The bed was very big and amazingly comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel for those wanting to stay close to both glasgow and Edinburgh.

This was my first ever time staying at a b&b the owners were lovely and very attentive. The brekky was nice and the room was very comfortable.

Excellent - a warm welcome, clean & tidy accommodation, well-stocked bedroom and en-suite, superb breakfast menu, delicious breakfast. Kingsley and Bella, the Newfoundlands, were the icing on the cake. Great value. I will stay here again next time I am working in the central belt. Ignore the checkout and payment information on Hotels.com - check out is not 07:30 and credit card payments are accepted!

Stayed here for our friends wedding, it’s a lot bigger than expected , plenty of space, comfy bed, nice and modern. Lovely little snug for a 6 ft 5 person too, didn’t even have to duck anywhere 🤣✅

Fantastic stay. Stayed many times in a snug pod for business maybe 15 times a year. Tried a cabin for first time because the price was cheaper than normal. Amazing, shame its too expensive to do more often. Only downside was the wifi was hit and miss but overall very good

When we arrived Pete greeted us and showed us to our Lodge with the Hot Tub it was amazing very clean and everything that we needed in it also there was a nice surprise of a Breakfast Hamper Bread Cereal Biscuits Fruit Jam Coffee Tea Hot Chocolate Sugar and in the Fridge was Eggs Milk Orange Juice Apple Juice and Butter . There is a Bus Stop outside the Lodges which goes to Edinburgh and Stirling or the Train Station is about 15mins also it has a Swing Park for the Children ,Pete was very...

Lovely stay . Friendly staff. Plenty of free parking . Quiet and nice rooms . Big spacious room and toilet. Need little improvement while re-servicing the room as my room supplies were not properly re-stocked and replaced. Overall good experience

This is a fantastic bed and breakfast very conveniently located for the town centre and with owners who couldn't do enough for you. After a wet and chilly day around Glasgow the warm welcome, a hot drink and a warm comfy room were perfect. John was brilliant and made us feel immediately at home, recommended and booked a place for dinner and ensured we had everything we needed. After a fantastic night's sleep, breakfast was just superb: delicious with quality local products cooked to perfection....

Our trip to Chain Runner is always brilliant that’s why we always stay at the Chain Runner when going to Livingston. The only problem was we were beside the door where people were going upstairs & they would let the door close on it’s on so there was a fare bit of banging. Perhaps they might change the door mechanism to a soft close.

Fantastic property in a lovely location, 2 minutes walk to the loch which has a really nice walking route around it. Only a minute drive to supermarket and loads of food options around for dinner / lunch etc. The breakfast included with the room was better than expected. Very pleased! Highly recommend.

Just got home from a weekend here and it was absolutely beautiful... breakfast options were great and swimming pool, sauna and steam room were great. My only bad point was the mattress wasnt all that but maybe its be being fussy. Netherless a beautiful place and we will be back in the summer

What an amazing place

A pleasant, quiet room as requested. Very good use made of the space, even a small bath in tiny en suite. Loved the red tartan furnishings. Excellent food included a delicious evening meal and plenty of choice on breakfast menu. Staff were friendly and courteous and very helpful. Slept well, comfortable bed and was glad of comfy chair and decent sized table where I could do some writing. The en suite was small but okay, again well planned.
