Noisy room by highway. Room was small, crowded and handicap accessible.

Great stay1

We were very pleased with our stay at the Hampton Inn in Meridan. It was very quiet at night and we would definitely stay again when we visit relatives.

Hotel was very nice and convenient for us

Posted 01-Nov-2016
Location: Location was good close by our family
Our room was spacious and comfortable. The continual breakfast was terrific with all kinds of choices and the location was excellent for us .

Solid choice in the area. Slightly overpriced.

Pros: Mostly the decor and space.
Cons: Walls thin - really could hear noise. Ran out of breakfast items too quick.
Properly updated. Room decor and lobby decor is nice. Staff knows what they're doing. Plenty of Parking.

Pros: Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. I liked the amenities of the mini fridge and microwave as well as the desk area and built-in dresser.
Cons: Could've had more breakfast choices. I generally do not sleep well when the heat/air kicks on and off all through the night
Location: There were restaurants nearby and easy access to turnpike.
The room was comfortable and clean. The shower head was very good and we also enjoyed having the microwave and mini fridge in the room. Nice built-in desk and dresser area. The staff was very friendly. Nice touch to have cookies and a coffee/hot chocolate bar continually available. Would've liked more choices for breakfast.

Handicap room

Posted 12-Oct-2016
They put me in a handicap room. I am not handicapped. The shower head was down at my chest height (for someone in a wheelchair. Spent my entire shower crouched down to get my upper half wet! Other than that it was great

Comfortable clean hotel, very central for our need

Posted 10-Oct-2016
Location: Immediate access to I95 and Rte 15 in Meriden, close enough to New Haven as well as Hartford.
All aspects of this hotel were excellent for a hotel of its class (clean comfortable rooms, adequate amenities, decent breakfast). Highway access is quick, and distances from locations of interest to us were ideal. Only complaint was a very slow checking in past midnight, because a sports team showed up just before we did, and their group room assignment or reservation was not done correctly. There was only one night manager and she coped the best she could. we had to wait 45 minutes to get a room.

Typical stay

Posted 07-Sep-2016 on Hotels
Typical room, large space, convenient location. Everything was as expected except for breakfast. I know it's "free" but it was extremely limited and what was once available was not refilled. Ended up with a bagel and cream cheese with OJ and coffee instead of eggs, home fries, and fruit salad. They did have a waffle station but needless to say it was extremely busy
