The Ohio Suite @ historic 1799 Inn Immerse yourself in rich history while you relax in your comfortable, one-bedroom apartment with kitchenette. Ideally located in the 2nd oldest building in town, you'll be just steps from the world-renowned attractions of Lower Town Harpers Ferry Easy access if you're biking the C&O Canal. The Harpers Ferry train station is just across the street. A 2-minute walk brings you to the scenic confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers as well as Harpers Ferry National Park and John Browns Fort. On-site parking is complimentary for our guests! All guests must be age 8 or older. IMPORTANT: The Harpers Ferry train station is just across the street and trains pass by day AND night. Many guests tell us that's one of the things they love about the place, but it can be loud. It's also a very old building and you will hear noise from adjacent apartments. If the noise will bother you, please do not book this property. There is a security camera overlooking the parking area. PLEASE NOTE: We kindly request that guests sign our "Potomac Adventure" rental agreement within 72 hrs of booking. Park your car and walk to all the wonderful sites that town has to offer. My fiancé loved watching the trains come and go, and they did not wake us through the night. The outlets in the living room didn't work, but that wasn't a big enough deal to remove a star. The rocking chairs on the porch were so comfortable, and it was great to have a free reserved parking spot since it costs 20 and is difficult to get a public spot later in the day to tour. Within two blocks, you have several options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, a great cup of coffee, or a treat for the kids. Fishing along the Shenandoah is also within walking distance. The Potomac across the street is actually within Maryland's border so be careful if you have a WV license. The building is secure, and I truly have no complaints. ##### Jennifer M. The trains didn’t bother us at all, and in fact reinforced the historical nature of this quaint community.Mattress 6/10.Older properties, unfortunately, require a lot of maintenance and upkeep.However, keeping it clean and clear of dust dirt insect droppings and cobwebs-would be expected. I would recommend deep cleaning at intervals.Caulking, spackling, updating bathroom and kitchen plumbing features is recommended and those are relatively inexpensive fixes.Perhaps choosing cleaning products that are more natural and friendly to the nose would also help eliminate some of the musty smells associated with older buildings.Thank you. ##### Lori B.
