I liked the look of the loft space for the kids and figured it would give us a good idea of what it might be like to live in an apartment in Hanoi. The property is very charming and "vintage" is the perfect description, you get a feeling of age when you're in the space. The AC works, the beds are reasonably comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need, if a little sparse on cutlery. We did have some hot water pressure issues but only on day 3 of our stay, the previous 2 days there was lots of hot water and the shower was great. Note that the front door lock is sticky and there's a trick to get in! When you're tired and it's late it's a bit tricky! The owner is helpful and a good communicator, we had no trouble checking in or checking out. Should have read the conditions that it was on the 5th floor with no elevator. My fault. Great to have a washing machine. Had some issues with the hot water, and water pressure. The apartment was clean, towels were provided for us and the kitchen was equipped with the necessities to make a meal. It's a great apartment option for those who are planning an extended stay. The southern edge of the Old Quarter was only a few blocks away and an easy walk to get to. We didn't find the distance inconvenient, it was a nice opportunity to see more of the city by foot.
