"Great place, friendly staff"

" I liked the location of the property being close to places within walking distance like the Wilderness railway. The room was neat and tidy and was generally quiet during my four-night stay. My only frustration was with the tv in the room as many a time the 'no signal' message popped up. Other than that it is a nice place to stay, and I enjoyed a Sunday dinner in their restaurant. "

"Went in with low expectations, but it turned out to be a pleasant stay for the price. The amenities were good, especially the inclusion of a small kitchen which made things quite convenient. The room was reasonably comfortable and had everything needed for a short stay. The facilities are a bit dated and it does show in certain areas, but they are still functional and well-maintained. The overall cleanliness was satisfactory, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth. Location-wise, it worked well and made getting around fairly easy. Considering what was paid, it delivers good value for money and is a practical option if you’re not expecting luxury but just a comfortable, budget-friendly stay."

"The room is good and very clean, with everything you need. There is no air conditioning, but the electric heater and electric blankets work well. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during my stay."

"Ok this is an old building and we should appreciate that. The room facilities were basic (the shower head leaked reducing pressure, one electrical blanket did not work and the general cleaning could be better) we thought that the continental breakfast layout could be better to reduce congestion. The breakfast was toast, cereal and limited fruit. Tea and coffee was available. The location was excellent over the road from the railway. The staircase is magnificent . Would I stay there again, not sure."

"Quentins cottage was reasonably well appointed for a short stay but if staying longer than a couple of nights wanting to utilize the kitchen more cooking equipment would make this process easier. There wasnt many pots or bowls to cook withIts a rustic renovation of a very old home but lovely and clean with good quality linen and comfy bed.One complaint would be that the front steps are dangerous, the tread depth is insufficient and steptoo high but in saying this outside renovation is still in the pipeline but the steps are something to be aware of until reno of the outside is started.Getting the car in and out also we found difficult and the car didnt fit in the garage. No biggie but if a travellerisdriving a large car its something to be aware of.We enjoyed our stay."

"Seemless check in after clear instructions from the owner.Lovely location with mountain views from three sides.Very comfortable lounge and bed, excellent shower/bathroom.Well equipped kitchen with enough food to get through day one if you cannot make it to the shops.Overall, it felt like home and was a wonderful base for our three nights in Queenstown."
