The bar and restaurant are awesome. It was a great stay when visiting cradle mountain. Almost directly across from the shuttle stop to go up the mountain. Kitchen was adequate for a longer stay. And size was great for a small family. It was just 2 if us so we did not need the extra bedroom. The main lodge was busy and had no reservations for dinner left when we arrived but we were able to order pizza to take out that was really good. Cabins were basic but functional. DON’T get the continental breakfast! $35 for four, thin bits of white bread with no butter or spreads, “fruits” is two small, floury apples, two weetbix, tiny bit of Nutri Grain or Muesli. We didn’t bother and for just $15 more, had the full, scrumptious, buffet breakfast at Cradle Mountain Lodge both days. Helleyers Restaurant is quite expensive. Stayed in a Spa Cottage.
