"On arrival, we found the room to be very small for a travelling family of three. However, the room is well planned out and the layout seemed to work. The staff that we came across were polite and helpful despite the limitations in each other's respective languages :-))) Nonetheless, the systems in place made for a quick process and we were in our room within 5 minutes from initial meeting. We chose not to have the breakfast (continental), but this due to the fact that we were leaving 06.45 so as to continue our journey through into Spain. The air-conditioning was a treat and allowed us to have a pleasant night's sleep. We are booked into the same hotel group on our return, but staying in Bordeaux."

"The property is nice, the rooms are very clean. I love that there’s a lot of trees in the property and around. It is a little bit far from everything but there are markets nearby and the bus is really easy to take. My only complaint is that when we arrive, the man at the reception told us that we had not paid, he charged us for our stay, we could not get the receipt from Expedia because we had no Internet, and he would not give us Wi-Fi until we paid. After connecting to Wi-Fi I could get the receipt, but since it was late at night when we arrived and we were tired, we had to do it until the next morning and they did give us a refund But since it takes 3 to 5 business days, we are still waiting for our refund. That was a big inconvenience for us and it wasn’t pleasant to get into an argument with the staff."
Beaumanoir Small Luxury Boutique Hotel

"It's truly a boutique hotel, personally owned by one man since 2005. It took him 2 years to renovate a neglected 19th century stable and create a luxurious retreat. The hotel only has 8 rooms (making it the smallest 5-star hotel in France), and it's open during Biarritz' high season, only 4 months. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are tastefully decorated in a blend of modern and period furnishings. The art collection is French Modernist (think Bernard Buffett), the glass is blown glass from the 60s and 70s. And then there is the champagne, mostly Dom Perignon. Luxury experience? Absolutely. Gracious? Very. Clean? Spotless. Gourmet food? Delicious. Spa? Yes. Pool? A lap pool! Landscape? Gorgeous. Pet friendly? Silver bowl for the puppy! Interior decor? Made me so jealous I didn't want to leave. Breakfast is a la carte, and drinks are generous. We will definitely return."
