Hosts pleasant and whilst they live in the house onsite they were not intrusive. Had some lovely pub meals in the area. I am sure it would be an even more beautiful location in summer. We were very cosy here in the winter evenings. My only negative comment is I found the beds uncomfortable - too firm for me. ##### jane R. Upon arrival to the beautiful property, we were greeted warmly by Sue, who welcomed us and gave us a quick tour inside the house. It was immaculate and tastefully furnished. It felt cozy and welcoming. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a rural setting you will find it here. The grounds are like a park, with pretty views, and I was thrilled by lovely bird song at sunrise. The weather was cool and overcast and it showered a few times but we enjoyed our stay immensely spending the afternoons seeing the attractions in East Sussex. James was very kind and able to answer all our questions about the area and we enjoyed some interesting conversations. ##### Joan R. Het huis is prima. ##### Karin G. Our dog loved the big field out the back. Perfect place if you want busy days out exploring, would say best to stop off for a meal on way back and then perfect place to chill in the evening just stock up on drinks and snacks so you don’t have to venture back out. The nearest pub is quite a walk and no pavements so walking is not ideal. ##### Nicola S. Stayed 3 nights in Jul 2021 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Anita S. 4 Jun 2018 #### Fabulous location, great hosts! A bank holiday getaway! We spent the days cycling along lovely little lanes. Great sunny weather, apart from the most amazing lightning storm one evening whilst we were snugly tucked away in bed, watching through the velux. Breakfasts out on the patio, dinners down at the pub walking distance away. Sue and James were great hosts - a friendly hello and a chat, but without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend the barn if you want somewhere quiet to relax. It all just went by too quickly. ##### Anita S. Stayed 3 nights in May 2018 ---
