The owner was very nice and helpful lovely breakfast basket left in the kitchen with bacon eggs tomatoes bread butter and milk. A fire made in the grate just needed lighting. I had a very pleasant stay would definitely stay there again."

We were just a short walk down from Colchester Castle and High Street, where we could find a wide range of pubs, restaurants, and shops. "Overall, the stay was ok. I was not a fan of the connecting door in the room that had no visible lock on my side, which made the stay slightly uncomfortable. The Spa could do with some work, with the sauna door blowing open every 20 seconds and gaps in the Steam room tiles creating cold drafts. The Breakfast was good, but I was never actually welcomed or spoken to. So there might have been things I missed that I was unaware of. That being said, it was a buffet style, so fairly self explanatory."
