The host (Ayami san) and the International staff were fantastic and go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable, welcoming, and service with a smile. English is not a problem. Ayami san was very kind to pick me up and drop me off at the train station as there is no taxi service. The rooms are basic but clean, spacious, comfy beds, heated floors, strong wifi, and beautiful views of the surrounding woods. Toilet, wash room, and shower rooms are shared and were clean. There were just a few people staying there during my stay so I never had to wait to use the facilities. Breakfast buffet had good choices and filling. Dinner was tasty - I don't eat pork so they made chicken and vegetable soup for me. Train station is about 7 min drive and ski resort about 3 min drive (or 10 min walk) from the inn. Transport is provided to and from the ski resort. I loved the vibe, homely, and friendly ambience of White Rose Inn. Hostess was absolutely amazing, very helpful and accommodating. The inn is very comfortable, lovely room and great shower. Easy to get to the ski hill. Breakfast each morning was very good. The town itself is quite small, but a beautiful, quiet place to stay.
