Unexpectedly, we were upgraded and provided with a suite. Four beds were excessive for an elderly couple, but we gratefully accepted the kind gesture. Thank you. Joking, we said it must have been a status match since we hold lifetime platinum in the Marriott programme. We have stayed at this hotel over fifty times in the past thirty years.The guests were predominantly of Chinese descent, mostly Taiwanese, so it wasn't noisy. For example, I called to cancel a dinner reservation, and I believe they misunderstood me and took it as a reservation request, despite me asking them to confirm that it was a cancellation I wanted. As I expected, they called me later asking why I wasn't as dinner after the reservation. I also asked about snow shoeing, but the front desk staff did not even bother checking and just told me that there are no such activity at the resort. I even showed him photos of the activity but he maintained his reply. Turns out that within your hotel is a store called Appi Explore that offers this activity, albeit it was too early for it. The dinner options are severely lacking. All options are high-priced ones - imagine staying there for a week having to eat only fancy food.
