No Pets, No Smoking, No Parties, No College Spring Breakers. This is a family owned property and rental activity is frequently checked by management. Guests are responsible for damage. Parking Passes $25 each with a limit of 2\. One pass will be billed for each reservation, guest must ask in advance for the second. This luxurious coastal cottage is located conveniently in the West Beach district of Gulf Shores with a short walk across the road to the private access to a sugar white sand beach. Amenities include a boardwalk to the beach, a community pool and a pier at the lagoon. The ground floor provides covered parking and a shaded "Gathering Area" with a convenient shower for sand control. The first flight of stairs lead to the spacious living, dining and kitchen area along with the built in bunks and full bathroom. This room has lots of natural light and opens to a furnished balcony. You will love the beautiful granite in the kitchen and baths. The kitchen is fully furnished and has full size stainless appliances. Just bring you food, seasonings, detergents and paper goods. Up the next set of stairs, are two large bedrooms, each with an adjoining bath, and a full size washer and dryer! The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed. It privately adjoins the master bathroom which has a large walk-in tiled shower with a glass enclosure and a bath tub! The guest bedroom adjoins a private bath, but has a queen bed. Both bedrooms have TVs and open to the second furnished balcony with views of Little Lagoon, the pool, and pier. The beds are made with fresh white linen and a set is supplied for the sofa sleeper in the living area. A modest supply of bath and kitchen linens are supplied. Bring your beach towels and detergent for the full size washer and dryer! You will find a "one day" supply of basic toiletries and products. Guests have access to a boardwalk to the beach, which is located right across a 2 lane road, and access to a beautifully maintained pool that overlooks the lagoon and access to the pier. You may bring kayaks and floats to the pier or ride up on a boat that was launched. There are no boat launches at this complex though, and trailers cannot be parked at the complex. Tents/canopies and chairs are allowed at the beach, but must be disassembled and removed before dark each day. We come to gulf shores at least once a year and this was one of the best locations we’ve stayed in. The rooms were spacious, great kitchen, and nice floor plan for a single family. It may be crowded for multiple families. Cons: only one. The house reeked of cigarette smoke type smell. Especially on the first two floors. We noticed immediately, text maintenance within 10 mins of arrival, and they were quick to respond. They offered to spray air freshener. However with that smell that doesn’t do much. Masking a bad odor with a stronger odor sometimes makes the problem worse. We declined and decided to tough it out. We weren’t prepared to drive hundreds of miles to just turn around and go home. And to be clear- aside from this smell- we had a wonderful time. Also, the pre-checkin rules Clearly stated “no smoking allowed.” Upon arriving home everything we brought reeks- From clean clothes, to luggage, to the kids iPads and toys. Before booking be sure to ask if the smell was eliminated. ##### David C. We traveled with friends and our toddler, and while the stairs were a challenge at first (dragging luggage up a couple of flights) it was completely worth it and we will stay here again if possible on our next visit. The location absolutely cannot be beat; far enough away from the commercialization to feel as if you are truly on vacation but a short drive to everything. The access to the beach (directly across the street) could only be beat if you stayed beachfront. Next trip, I hope we have a chance to sit by the pool and enjoy a cup of coffee overlooking the lagoon. Excellent property. ##### Kim P. The property is very well kept, looks brand new, has a great little pool, and is a short walk to the beach. We were a bit concerned that the property was not right on the beach but even with a toddler we were fine using our wagon to carry stuff. The 2 lane road you cross to the boardwalk was not difficult to cross. Our only disappointment was that some of our party wanted to fish and the dock on the lagoon side is totally washed out. Clean and looked just like the photos. We were sure to read through all of the information and had groceries delivered from Walmart with extra supplies. As they mentioned they only have a starter supply of paper products. Garbage bags etc. there was some construction down the street but noise was minimal. TVs had satellite and Netflix etc in both bedrooms and the main living space which was nice. Heads up bunk beds are at the top of a long flight of stairs if you have young kids. Beaches were family friendly and not crowded at all. Overall wonderful time! Of note if you have small kids, you will need to bring your own high chair and pack and play and they don’t have beach towels. No children’s cups or storage containers. The beach is right there. The kids could go to the pool anytime and we didn’t have to worry about overcrowding anywhere. And the house was great! ##### Brandon H.
