Big. Beachfront. Pool. Sleeps 26\. Awesome location! Sea Monster, West Unit 1217 West Beach Blvd 8BR 7.5BA Beachfront duplex. Pool. Extra fridges. Lots of space. And right on the beach! Sleeps 26, or up to 52 in both sides! 2023-06-30\. Brand new listing by owner. We’ve had our East side up on Vrbo for a while, but I’ve never had the west side of this gorgeous place posted here as she mostly rents herself. :-) So, no, there are no review (yet!) because it is a brand new listing. However, if you want to look at our other side, which is listing https://vrbo.com/1992138, you’ll see that it’s mostly five stars with happy happy large groups and families. The bonus to you is that as a new listing the first three bookings get 20% off their stay (automagically applied). Act quick! Big is beautiful! Sea Monster is a “monster” as in BIG, but she's certainly not ugly! Great place, great space! Perfect location! WThis lovely monstrosity is located directly on the gulf. It is perfect for those larger get togethers: plenty of space to be together but plenty of your own space too! Sea Monster is a duplex with 8 bedrooms and 7.5 baths on each side! It sleeps up to 26, or 52 if you take both sides. This listing is for the WEST side unit. The East side unit may be available, or you can rent both as Sea Monster East & West (for a whopping 16 bedrooms, sleeping up to 52... just inquire!). 2nd Floor (Main) North BR: King 3rd Floor South BR: King 3rd Floor Middle BR: King 3rd Floor North BR: King 4th Floor South BR: King 4th Floor Middle South BR: 2 x Twin Bunks 4th Floor Middle North BR: Queen 4th Floor North BR: 2 Queen + Twin Bunk Main Level Living Room QSS 3rd Floor Living Rm QSS On the main floor of each side of the Sea Monster there is a large living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with adjacent half bath. That floor also has a master suite with private bath, including a jetted tub and separate shower. The second level has a bonus room with television and a sleeper sofa and access to a full bath. To the north of the bonus room is a bedroom with a shared bath. Another guest bedroom is located on the south side of the bonus room area with private full bath. There is also a master suite facing the gulf on the second level with a private master bath including a jetted tub and separate shower. This master bedroom also has a deck. Floor three has four guest bedrooms and three baths; one of which is a Hollywood bath shared by two of the bedrooms. For both sides, see our Sea Monster East & West listing. One side perfect for your group? Check out our Sea Monster East and Sea Monster West listings for the individual units.Other Sea Monster amenities include a shared pool, washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave, televisions, cable, dvd players, internet, telephone with free domestic long distance, covered parking, and an extremely convenient location. POOL? You bet! BIG outdoor pool (shared only between the two sides and with no one else). PARKING There is available onsite parking for at least 6 cars per side. More if you park under then home and stack carefully. Just share nice with the neighbors! WIFI/INTERNET YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction! SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well. No smoking please. No pets. SNOWBIRDS! We had an amazing time at SeaMonster West! Bama Beach Houses was great. We didn't really have any issues we couldn't resolve ourselves, so I don't think we ever had a need to reach out to them. We had plenty of room, and we had a couple of warm, sunny days, so there isn't much more you can ask for. All in all…it was fantastic. We had plenty of room for everyone, and we all had a great time. We had 5 families, 19 people and it worked well. Little bit tight for the older kids. Broken coffee maker and almost no sheet cooking pans kept it from being 100.\[😎 Thanks Tom! Glad you had a 99% perfect stay! 😉 We will get that 1% back next time. Speaking of, if you have little things like that, just reach out. Happy to have things replenished. Some of those probably migrated next door--in the duplexes, it is very common for folks to rent both sides (for LOTS of space, and double all the living areas), but sometimes the cooks move things around when that happens and that doesn't always get caught in the hubbub of same day turns. Sheet pans, utensils, crockpots (heck, I've seen furniture!) go walkabout in those situations. Just send a note next time to me, or to Bama Beach Houses, and they will be right out. Our entire group was so happy with the whole set up of the houses so close to one another, the pool, the underneath space where the kids could hang out and the houses in general. Very clean and spacious! The weather could have been better but that is just my luck! Our group golfed, okayed pickle ball and played beach games despite the weather. Beach patrol was awesome. They came up to us and handed my son a ticket for having too much fun and then handed out Gulf shore koozies to everyone! It was a great time by mom and kids. The Managment company was great. One of the houses had an incident where a kids diabetes alarm feel off his arm and into the toilet and they came right out to help! Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your homes. I have already spread the word around about how great it was if anyone is considering renting! ##### Jill S. It was our first time to Gulf Shores and we are talking about returning next year! (I hope pandemic-free by then so we can actually see more of the sights and businesses.). I was afraid our bad luck was continuing when we arrived late that Sat. Night and couldn't get into the unit. The neighbors appeared immediately and suggested we try their door lock combination...we didn't realize until later they were checked into our side, West, so that's why their combination worked on the East side. Not sure how they got in to the wrong side, but I assume they were unpacked before they realized their mistake. No worries. Overall we were very happy with the location of the house and enjoyed being right on the beach. My brother and nephew love to fish and had pretty good luck so that was fun. Also great to have the pool. The filter wasn't working the first few days but the guy came and cleaned out so that was good. ##### Lisa L.
