You will enjoy easy, walking distance access to the beach, restaurants, shopping, and more! The sugary white sandy beaches and emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico are directly across the street! Getting to the beach is safe and easy thanks to the dedicated pedestrian light and crosswalk. The beach is just a 2 min walk and is staffed by lifeguards, for your safety and also has a boardwalk, a bath house, and chairs/umbrellas for rent. The Hangout/center of town is just a 14 min walk away where you will find numerous restaurants, live music, souvenir shops, and the locations of the famous Hangout Festival and Shrimp Festival. A 5 min walk from our place will bring you to Bahama Bob’s for delicious seafood, Pier 33 for groceries and souvenirs, West Beach Coffee House, and Seaside Package for all your beverage needs. Other attractions such as Waterville USA, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, mini-golf, The Wharf, The Track, and the Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge are only a short drive away. The Sands complex has a shared pool for you to enjoy when you’ve had enough of the sand and saltwater and a sand volleyball court with hammocks, picnic tables, and outdoor grills! There are 2 reserved parking spaces underneath the unit and on-site parking for extra vehicles and/or other toys with no parking passes needed! It is located on West Beach sandwiched between the Gulf of Mexico and Little Lagoon. Boat access is not far away and arrival to The Sands during busy festival weekends is a breeze via Windmill Ridge Rd. This small, quite complex has just 16 units and is ideal for families. There are no slow, smelly elevators to wait for. Just park directly underneath and walk right in! Unit 119 is situated in the back corner of the complex and away from both nearby streets. It has been conveniently outfitted with keyless entry so you don’t have to worry about losing keys. This unit is 2 story, with 2 flights of stairs, and no one above or below you. It has 2 private balconies, which directly overlook the pool so you can keep an eye on the little ones. The unit comes stocked with bed linens, bath towels and cloths, beach towels, and beach sheets. The kitchen has an electric griddle, blender, cast iron skillets, a crock-pot, and more! You will also find a starter supply of paper towels, laundry and dish washing detergent, soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathrooms. There are enough beds to sleep 10 adults and/or children. This is a NON-SMOKING unit. GROUND/PATIO LEVEL: Here you will find a bonus area not often found at most locations! This is a great space ideal for watching TV, eating around the outdoor dining table, and hanging out while the kids play in the pool nearby without having to go back and forth into the house! There is an outdoor TV, an outdoor shower, and beach supplies for your use. MAIN LEVEL: On the main floor, you will find a recently updated, well stocked kitchen with stainless appliances, granite counter tops, a pantry, and plenty of cabinet space. The living area is spacious with a sofa and loveseat, a recliner, TV, and balcony access overlooking the pool. The main level also has 1 queen bedroom with new Sealy Posturepedic plush mattress with attached full bath. UPSTAIRS: Upstairs you will find a large and spacious master King bedroom with a closet, a TV, attached full bath with double vanity, and private balcony access. The master bed has a Sealy Posturepedic pillowtop king mattress. Down the hall is another Queen bedroom with full over full built-in bunks. In-unit washer and dryer are located in the hallway. From a 2 minute walk to the beach,to a 3 minute drive to the Hangout. I was highly impressed with our stay. I highly recommended this location and it will be my first choice to stay the next time that I go to Gulf Shores. The host were there for me with any questions that I had. The condo was wonderful, upstairs and downstairs private patio area lots of beach toys. Very close to the beach. Large pool and deck. We will definitely stay here again. The kitchen had everything you needed and more. Two balconies overlooking the pool and a sand volleyball area close by. I’m rambling but I can’t say enough good things. It was clean and perfect for our families weekend get away. The owner fast with responses and very helpful with any questions I had. The pool was clean and there were pool items avaliable to use. Condo was clean and recent renovations made this a wonderful place to stay. 4 adults and 4 kids were very comfortable.
