If you are looking for a serene, luxury, beachfront home to enjoy some FUN in the SUN and R & R - look no further - Susan's Sand Castle II is the perfect place for just that and so much more! Roll down your windows and smell the ocean as you enter our neighborhood and get ready to see the most amazing blue skies, white puffy clouds and the sugar-white sand of our Fort Morgan beaches! When you pull into one of the three bays under the house - you'll immediately see "our beach" , with sawgrass growing on the inviting sand dunes. If you want to run (or wheel) up the outdoor ramp - so you can immediately experience the beach - have at it! That ramp will take you directly to our deck, with picnic table, Adirondack chairs and plenty of beach toys for the young and the young-at-heart! We know it will be hard to take your eyes off the beach, the gulf and the sky - but while those that drew the short-straws unload the cars - the rest of you can walk on the Sand Dune Walkover (Boardwalk) directly to the beach. Feel free to take our deck chairs with you. Go dip your toes in the water or go all the way in. Skinny-dipping (or Chunky-Dunking) is prohibited - so please take a few minutes to get into your swim suits! The Great Room at Susan's Sand Castle II is spacious - plenty of room for your family and friends to dine together or hang out, as the designated chefs whip up a meal in the fully-stocked kitchen. There are two full size refrigerators (one is in the Utility Room); stove, microwave, dishwasher and ice-machine - that makes up to 35 pounds of ice a day. Every small kitchen appliance you could want is also supplied for your convenience. And the cabinets are stocked with everything you need to prepare and serve the food that you bring with you. No need to fight over who gets the "Best Room" - because they are all "Best Rooms"! Two King Master Suites, with spacious Bathrooms and whirlpool tubs await you and both have direct access to the beach-side deck. One Master Suite is conveniently located right off the Great Room; and the other Master Suite is upstairs. Two additional King Bedrooms are also located upstairs and face the beach, with doors accessible to the balcony. One of these King Bedrooms has a private full bathroom and the other is semi-private. Children are delighted when they see the Bunk Room we've created just for them. It sleeps up to 8 children, with full size mattresses on the top and bottom of two bunk beds. A Queen-size sleeper sofa, located in the Great Room, allows for additional sleeping. A half-bath is located on the main level, around the corner from the Great Room, for the convenience of all. Large flat-screen Smart TVs are located in every bedroom as well as the Great Room. Plenty of books and games are provided for after a day in the sun or on those rare rainy days. Towels, wash cloths, beach towels, linens, pillows and comforters are provided for no additional fee. A stackable washer/dryer are provided in the Utility Room for your convenience. Feel free to take our deck chairs with you to the beach each day. We just ask that you bring them back each evening, as nesting Sea Turtle Mommas can get tangled up or confused when they come ashore at night. May through August - we have a professionally installed and maintained 10' X 20' Beach Canopy for guests to enjoy while playing on the beach. May through mid-August, Bookings must be Saturday to Saturday. Thanksgiving and Christmas Weeks have the same Saturday to Saturday Requirements. Other than that, there is a 4 night minimum, with flexibility for days of the week for Check-In. The home was built in 2015 and was beautifully decorated by Susan herself! This beach house is perfect for Family Reunions, Vacations with Family/Friends, Corporate Retreats, and more! There is a $1,500.00 surcharge for weddings/events. Snowbirds are welcome to contact us about renting by the month. We have two other beachfront luxury homes located in the Morgantown sub-division - three miles closer to Gulf Shores. We do our best to respond in under an hour, but because we don't recharge on coffee alone - we do try to sleep at some point, therefore will respond to late night inquiries first thing the next morning. We are currently accepting reservations through the end of 2021\. Everyone gets a king bed and the kids loved the bunk room. My only complaint is there's no fish cleaning station. This may not be important to most but our family loves fishing. The decor was very pleasant, as you can see in the pictures. Things you can't see were all better than expected, like abundant table ware and dishes, very nice bath and beach towels, pleanty of deck and beach chairs, very good beds, etc. The flow of the common areas is very good. This beach home was everything we expected and more!! Everything was very clean and kept up nicely! The beds were all extremely comfortable too! There were 8 adults in our group and plenty of space for more! The boardwalk to the beach made it so easy to get our fishing equipment and beach chairs to and from the beach every day. Janie quickly responded to a few questions we had and was very helpful and knowledgeable about this property. Thank you Susan and Jerry for sharing this wonderful home with us! Having the ice maker and extra fridge was perfect to having enough room to keeping all the drinks cold. The only thing I would recommend which is a personal preference would be to have high top chairs so you could see the beach better from the lower deck and a new grill ! We loved the tent that was set up on the beach and the ice cream truck that came by almost everyday. We would definitely love to visit again. ##### SHERRY M. Only negative would be there are not enough chairs on the deck and they should be taller so you can enjoy the view of the beach without peering through slats. Also the mirror in the upstairs master needs to be bigger, my wife is 5’4” and could not see anything but her eyes! As the family has grown we have needed more and more space, and with FOUR bedrooms with beachfront access, it was perfect. We’ve never stayed anywhere with such easy beach access, or such great views from every bedroom. The home is well-furnished, with all appliances available and working properly. The home stayed cool even on the hottest days, something we’ve had issue with in other rentals. Basically, you could say Susan’s Sand Castle II was exactly as advertised, which was exactly what we hoped for. We will definitely plan to return, ##### Jim M. This is our second time to stay at SSC II. Our last visit was June 2016\. It’s clean, well maintained, and pretty well stocked. Both my mom and mother in law said there were some larger pots missing since our last stay. They improvised and all turned out fine. The views are great from the balconies. There are plenty of beach towels, boogie boards, sand toys, and books to read. We love the Ft. Morgan area. It’s not too crowded. You’re not sitting on top of each other like the more populated areas. That is very important to us. It’s a little bit of a drive to get to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach if you’re wanting to do some shopping or dining. Though there are a few places to eat close by. Ex: Tacky Jack’s, Sassy Bass, and an area with Food Trucks. Watch for dolphins in the morning. Definitely try crab hunting at night. If I could live in this house full time, I would. Our stay at Susan's Sand Castle II was absolutely amazing. The house is practically brand new and immaculate. It felt like home from the moment we walked in the house. The welcome basket was a great touch! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to prepare and eat your meals, minus food of course. There were plenty of beach towels, chairs, and toys for everyone to enjoy. The views from the decks were amazing. The walkway from the house to the beach with an outdoor shower was a huge advantage. The kids room with the full size bunk beds is larger than it appears in the pictures, making it a great place for them to go off and play. The Fort Morgan area may be a little further away than you're expecting from everything, but it's completely worth it. The beaches aren't overcrowded like they would be in a more populated area like Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. Tacky Jack's, a restaurant, is literally a mile away and you can charter a fishing trip from the marina there as well, which is what some of us adults did one morning. This is the 3rd house I've stayed in, and the others majorly pale in comparison. I would definitely recommend this house and I hope that we're able to stay here again on our next family vacation. We couldn't have asked for a better house to spend our vacation in! We had 16 people stay here which included 6 adults and 10 children ranging in age from 4-18\. Everyone had the best time!!! Plenty of space for everyone. We spent most of our time playing in the ocean. This house was perfect for us because it was so close to the water. Everyone could go back and forth from the house to the beach as they wanted to. We have taken trips to other vacation houses in the past and this one is by far the best we've been to. Usually with this many people we have a hard time finding space for all our food that we bring. Not in this house! They have thought of everything...there's an extra fridge to put food in, a large pantry and an ice machine. They have a charcoal grill that we used a lot. Also extra beach chairs and body boards for us to use at the beach. The bedrooms we all so beautiful and very comfortable. Every one of them had a great view! The property manager, Dana, was wonderful and texted when there was a rip tide warning to make sure that we were aware. This house is just a couple of miles to Fort Morgan...which if you haven't been to I highly suggest you go see it. And it's about a 25 minute drive to LuLu's, which I also highly recommend. We all made so many wonderful memories on this vacation! We will for sure be back to this place! ##### Elizabeth H. House is right on the beach and in great shape. Location is challenging...it's 30 minutes to anything and due to road construction on the only road in and out, it took us over an hour to get to Gulf Shores some days. If you need access to lots of activities, this is not the location for you. Normally we would have just stayed on the beach and not gone into town much. Unfortunately, we had brutal tropical-storm level weather our entire stay. Beaches were inaccessible our entire stay. Yes, our ENTIRE stay! While the owners' certainly cannot control the weather, a refund of one or two nights (out of the 7 paid for) would have been kind and appropriate. We have NEVER left a vacation early until this one. We spent over $6,000 for a nightmare of a trip...couldn't even go on the porch without the 25 mph winds smacking us in the face. Kids were traumatized just attempting to get on the beach. This is VERY unusual for the gulf apparently and I think the owners should acknowledge that this was not simply a day or two of storms. Again, we get that they can't control weather. But, this was not normal "bad" weather and a little kindness in this world sure would have meant a lot to us having spent our vacation budget to sit in a house all week. So, work with Janie to find a property with understanding owners and I think you'll be happy. \*Note that we were offered a discount for a future stay but after driving 10 hrs with toddlers, that's never happening again with the riskiness of weather like we had.
