SMOKE FREE: Doral Tower Owners declared the tower to be SMOKE FREE. No smoking on balconies, no smoking inside condo, no smoking in the Doral Common areas. The Beach Club Doral 1408 is a 2 bedroom/2 bath luxury condo on the 14 floor with a private balcony & a Direct Gulf View from the living, dining, kitchen area and the master bedroom! The Doral tower is located "Right on the Beach" at an upscale resort with a sugar white sand endless beach! As a guest in this condo, you will have access to the four sparkling pools with hot tubs at the foot of each of the four towers, three boardwalks with showers that leads to the sugar sand beach and Gulf of Mexico, playground, basketball court and may patron the fine casual dining restaurant at the clubhouse with a full bar & Gulf View or indulge in a massage at the salon & spa at the clubhouse and patron the sports bar and grill, souvenir & beach attire, ice cream & coffee bar near the entrance of the resort at no additional cost. You may choose to relax and enjoy the Clubhouse private amenities: A state of the art fitness center, game room with free games, and elegant indoor pool with Gulf Views, adjoining luxurious ladies & gentlemen separate locker rooms with saunas, an outdoor pool with a Tiki Bar and Grill and access to seven Rubicon clay tennis courts, tennis coach and children's activities! Beach loungers with umbrella, para-sailing and other beach activities are available seasonally. Please see below for more details and price, which is paid at The Club. D1408 has a large, private, furnished balcony with an electric grill for dining or sipping on something cool while watching the dolphins play in the Gulf! The condo amenities include WiFi, a cottage style open floor plan, sofa sleeper, a fully stocked kitchen with full size appliances, a king master bedroom that adjoins the balcony and a private bathroom with a separate vanity area, a guest room with 2 full size beds, another full bath, and a wash/dryer. The owner provides a pack n play/crib and high chair. See pictures. The beds are made with fresh white linen and a linen set is supplied for the sofa. There is a modest supply of bath linens and a "one day" supply of basic kitchen and bath amenities/toiletries. Please bring your beach towels, food, disposable paper goods, extra trash bags and detergents for the clothes washer & dishwasher. The owner is a member of the clubhouse, so with a daily fee, you and your entire party may enjoy the private amenities, which includes a fitness center & indoor pool with Gulf Views, a game room, luxurious ladies & gentlemen separate locker rooms with saunas, an outdoor pool with a Tiki Bar and Grill, children's activities and access to the tennis courts! The fee is approximately $45 per day which covers everyone in your party, but is based on the number of days used. This fee is paid in person at the club desk. Without this fee, you still have access to the four pools with hot tubs at no additional costs. Two loungers with an umbrella rental is available for approximately $60.00 per day, at this time, but the clubhouse sets the rates and are seasonal. You may bring your own beach chairs and canopies, but there are designated areas for placement and must be removed each night. Para-sailing and other beach activities are available through the clubhouse and are offered seasonally when weather permits. First, I want to say that Pam was a gem to work with! The condo: It was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked, and the furniture was comfortable. The mattress in the master bdrm was good, and the couch sat well for the 2 of us. Patio seating was great! The table & chairs are comfortable and are high enough to enjoy an unobstructed view of the beautiful beach & gulf. There were some beach toys and chairs available in the outdoor closet which was a very nice treat. My husband had to work while we were there, and the internet connection was strong and stable throughout our visit. On our first full day, a storm with high wind speed and extremely strong gusts came through, and the condo personnel were out prepping the buildings in case things got nasty. It was encouraging to see how prepared and efficient they were. Local stuff: We took the Dauphin Island Ferry into Ft. Morgan from Mobile and that was fun, definitely worth the time and money. There's a new Dollar General close to the condo. (Hopefully the last business to come down the path. Part of why we choose FM is the separateness from GS.) Sadly, there was only one bright spot regarding restaurants this time, and that was Nonna's Pizzeria. It was so good that we planned to eat there again before leaving. The kitchen did not have a pizza cutter and the frying pans are so old and chipped it is unsafe to use. one of the doors was broken, the main bedroom light was broken and the guest bathtub was clogged. All of this was fixed in or after our stay. To start the property manager Pam was so easy to work with and her communication and customer service was fast!! The property was stunning and the condo unit we stayed in D1408 was so perfect for a family!!we had the absolute BEAT week in Gulf Shores and the views were breathtaking. Just what we all needed. Doral 1408 is a great condo for the four of us. It's well equipped in the kitchen and the beds were perfect. The guest bedroom bed and dresser are both broken. Knobs were falling/ missing off of the dresser. The guest bed was disconnected from the bed frame. The living room furniture is all very used. The shower curtain in the master bath was moldy and ripped in half. Pictures throughout the condo were barely secured to the walls. Wall decor was laying around in random places throughout the condo and not stored away or hung up. The kitchen felt sticky and nasty. Needs a new house keeper Pros: The condo was a great location. Beautiful views and loved the food truck area at the front of the resort. Overall the grounds were clean and our pool at dorsal was kept pretty clean. There was plenty of room for myself and my 4 kids. We originally booked for 7 and I don’t think we would have been comfortable if the other 3 guests came. Although it says it sleeps 10\. Overall my kids and I had a great time. For future or anyone else going. Fort Morgan is a long stretch road and just to get to the main stores and restaurants it’s about 20 min drive. I would get groceries on your way in. Otherwise there is a dollar general and overpriced store. Cons: The cleanliness of the condo was less than satisfactory. I personally had to purchase cleaning supplies and scrub disgust and stains out of the tubs. The master bathroom tub was so stained that I did the best I could but it was still severely stained from a molded bath mat. I arrived back from the store to see the manager had brought some cleaning solutions. Which I did use to help disinfect the counters and other high traffic areas. As it was dirty. The balcony door in the living room was so hard to open and stuck at times. So we had to use the bedroom balcony door. The dishwasher had dishes left in there and it was a musty smell coming from the dishwasher when opened. Also the top rack was stuck and unable to pull out so we did all the dishes by hand. There was moldy towels left inside the washer along with the previous guest’s sock. And the refrigerator was dirty. Overall they need a new house keeper. ##### candice R. Everything was very clean and well kept and the furniture was nice and updated. The air conditioning was working well and seemed fairly new.
