Soothing and quiet location

If it weren't for the location I would've stayed a lot longer. The staff was not too pleasant when it comes to customer service. Restaurants inside the hotel are way overpriced although the quality of food is above average.

Stayed at this hotel near the highway bridge. Area's average but noise from traffic made the room unbearable. Dirty and poorly cleaned. Lift was painfully slow. Breakfast was mediocre. Overall, wouldn't recommend due to noise, cleanliness, and slow service.

Dirty hotel

Never before!!!, So uncomfortable with the cleaniness of the bathtub, all towels, show curtain and linens. I had to clean the bathtub as it was greasy. The towels looked dirty, hygienely unreliable and not dry. Glad its only one night stay. Horrible experience.

We stayed at Grand Royal Hotel for 4 nights during our stay at Guangzhou. Staff members do not speak english. It was extremely difficult to comunicate. We couldn't ask for directions or recommendations. The shower on our bathroom was disgusting. We had a bathtub shower as well and we had to use it, which the water came out all over the bathroom even after putting a shower curtain. Toilet was stained and gave you the feeling the toilets was nasty. The bed was confortable. The food was eateable compared to a hotel we stayed at Beijing. We were on a non smoking floor but people smoked all the time, on the floor, on the elevator, on the halls. We went for business so we had a free hotel suttle to the convention center, which is a plus. Also they have an airport express shuttle service at the hotel for ¥24 a person which was nice. Not close to sightseen.
