We have lived in Umbria for over 200 years and are delighted to share the beauty of the region whose land we have cultivated, and cherished, for generations. Our villa is just outside of a small medieval town from which it draws its name. Located at the foot of a hill, it is surrounded by lush, untouched countryside where thick forests of oaks and groves of olive trees thrive as they have for centuries. Recently renovated, Casale di Ludovico exudes an abundant Umbrian warmth, with its stone walls, beamed ceilings, and locally handcrafted furniture. The expansiveness of the house easily accommodates a large extended family or group of friends. The ground floor consists of a large living room with a working fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms one with queen-sized bed and the other with a pair of twin beds, and two baths. The living room opens onto a large patio generously arrayed with tables and chairs. Upstairs on the first floor there is another living room with a fireplace, four bedrooms (two with queen-sized beds, the others each with a pair of twin beds), and three baths. Casa di Ludovico stands in its own large garden. It has its own private swimming pool, as well as a barbecue and wood-fired stove ideal for making pizza and bread. House is very big, clean and beautiful, ideal for a big group of friends or some families. Kitchen was equiped perfectly. Every day you had a chance to look at beautiful ceramics from the nearby Deruta. The house is situated on the hill, so the view from the pool is heart-breaking.The swimming pool was being cleaned every day. The hosts were thoughtful and very helpful. Now, I'm at my home for two weeks and I\`m still missing this quiet and peace of the place, which was offered. I hope that I can come back there once again. Ci siamo stati in 12 (tre famiglie di amici). La casa è molto bella, dotata di tutti i confort, accogliente e calda. E’ perfetta se cercate tranquillità e allo stesso tempo la bellezza della convivialità tra amici. Anche l’esterno aiuta in questo, con il bel patio, il grande tavolo di quercia ed il giardino (peccato che il periodo non permettesse ancora l’uso della piscina). Il signor Andrea è un anfitrione perfetto ci ha accolto con cordialità vera, disponibile ad ogni esigenza od imprevisto, ed allo stesso tempo con discrezione. La posizione della villa permette di raggiungere la maggior parte dei principali paesi e città della regione in tempi brevi e si trova comunque in una zona tranquillissima: uscite di casa fate pochi passi e trovate un’edicola votiva con una Madonna splendida, un minuscolo sacrario che ricorda i caduti delle guerre del vicino paese, qualche pecora e lo spettacolo continuo degli ulivi e delle vigne.
