Getting Around:

Gualala is approximately 2.5 hours north of San Francisco via Highway 101 to Highway 1, right on the Mendocino-Sonoma County border. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa is the nearest airport at roughly 90 minutes east. A car is recommended -- Highway 1 is one of the world's great coastal drives.

Keep your eyes on the horizon from December to April -- gray whales migrate just offshore, and this property has a front-row seat. Visit in spring for wildflower season -- the hills above Gualala and the river trails burst with lupine and California poppies. June through September brings the warmest weather. Morning fog is part of the charm -- it usually clears to reveal blue skies.



Welcome to bring 1 dog (up to 50 lbs.). Please keep your dog on a leash while on the trails and clean up after them.



Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.



For security, two outdoor cameras are active, one at the front door and one on the driveway. Cameras on the garage and the back door are installed and not active. All of them face the exterior only.
