Beautiful Penthouse Apartment
The Heavenly Suites Penthouse lives up to it's name - it was heavenly. The condo is spacious (for 2-4 people) and has a lovely wrap-around veranda offering lovely views of Rodney Bay Marina. It was fairly clean and free of any bugs. Bedding and towels are nice. The kitchen could've been better stocked and our oven didn't work well but we only ate breakfast there so that didn't bother us. Location is great - 5 minutes from Rodney Bay. But you need nerves of steel to drive in St Lucia and you need to rent a 4x4 or SUV. The driveway to the condo is very steep as are the roads in the neighbourhood.
One thing that surprised us is how noisy the neighbourhood is but I think that's just the island. St. Lucians like their music and don't obey (or have?) by-laws around noise restrictions. Dogs are barking often too but that was white-noise to us. The music late into the night was a bit disturbing but again, I think you'd get that anywhere on the island.
The pool is small but lovely and the view from it is amazing. We met lovely people there; since the complex is small you do tend to meet around the pool.
Overall a lovely place to spend your vacation!
