The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking a large meal for four. There is a supermarket within a 20 minute drive and a few restaurants. The lodge itself was lovely and warm and ideal for a quiet evening trying to see the northern lights. It was perfect for our last two nights in Iceland as it's 30 mins from the Blue Lagoon and 13 minutes to the airport. Will definitely look to stay here on our next trip to Iceland.

Lovely stay (eventually) had a hiccup on the first night when someone had taken our room before we arrived! (Not good when arriving late at 9pm and just wanting to get settled)! The staff when we rang were incredibly apologetic about the mix up (not their fault) and made every effort to rectify as quickly as possible. Can’t fault the customer service. Lovely hotel made even better with the beautiful staff. Agnes (the housekeeping manager) went out of her way to resolve some issues we had with pre-booked tour companies. She made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived until we left.
